The hotel is beautiful, UNFORTUNATELY the "apartment annex " makes most American Jails seem palatial and comfortable. We stayed in the Apartment Suite on the street away from the Hotel proper. It was quaint. and within an easy walk to the Vatican. The breakfast was very good in selection, quantity and quality but it was an extra charge. We found the Allessandrino wonderful. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful in providing directions and anything else we needed. Close to the Vatican. Rooms were not overly huge, but very clean and the A/C worked like a charm. Breakfast (and cappiccino or esspresso to order) was free and delightful. I recommend the Alessandrino to everyone. more
