The staff was great and accomodating. The room was perfect for me and my parents. The bathroom was small but very functional. Everything worked, and it was the perfect stay. The continental breakfast was good, and the ladies were very quick to help you with anything we needed. It was SUPER close to the Vatican, and super easy to get... More

The Hotel & Staff On entering the hotel the staff were extremely friendly and the place was clean, airy and comfortable. We were offered drinks at reception and our rooms sorted out within minutes. Once settled in the room (free water in the fridge) we were orientated to the hotel and its amenities. Breakfast was continental but more than enough... More

I’ve just spent a half-a-month holiday in Rome, and stayed at Hotel Alessandrino (HA) in room 204 (two single beds) with a friend who joined me. Whilst initially wary of some of the older negative reviews, I chose to go to HA for reasons of economy (the room we got with the 20% discount worked out at something like £17... More

I stayed at the Alessandrino for over a week, and would thoroughly recommend it to visitors to Rome. The hotel is well situated at just fifteen minutes walk from St Peter's Square and plenty of selection for local restaurants. The hotel staff were both friendly and knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area, always willing to offer any advice regarding local eateries... More

It is the hotel in pedestrian zone. Location not so good. The breakfas is poor. Transfer servis is bad and we had been ordered the taxi from hotel and stuff said: the price must be 30 euro till Champino airport. But the driver ask 45 euro. The swindler! We gave him 30! The sound protection in hotel is very poor... More

I stayed here a few years ago on the advice of business contacts, but this time my husband and I came for a four-night break. We considered the plush expensive options in the tourist centre but decided to come here, and it was a good choice. For a city with as many belfries and Vespas as Rome has, the night-time... More

Hotel Alessandrino is located within a residential area, the approach to the hotel is up quite a steep hill, which wasn’t a problem to us, but may be difficulty to anyone with mobility issues. Free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel, which is a great bonus. Rooms: Upon arrival, we were given a room on the second floor, which had... More

Stayed here 5 nights. Has everything you need in a convenient location, close to the Vatican, train station and buses. It is uphill, not a problem for us, but may be difficult with mobility issues. Quiet, clean, friendly staff. The breakfast was more than adequate. Has a nice roof top deck.

Me any my boyfriend just spent a week in Italy, in this lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave good advice. The location is fantastic just 10 minute walk to St. Peters Basillica and some nice local restaurants 5 minutes away. Once we had worked out public transport, also easy to get around-local station Staz san... More

stayed at this hotel recently with my wife, all staff ( bar one ) very helpful and obliging, and great location for Vatican. But BEWARE!! when we went down in morning for breakfast very little choice, constantly had to request basics like scrambled eggs, coffee, croissants- in fact everything! we were told there was no more food- and this being...
