It is the hotel in pedestrian zone. Location not so good. The breakfas is poor. Transfer servis is bad and we had been ordered the taxi from hotel and stuff said: the price must be 30 euro till Champino airport. But the driver ask 45 euro. The swindler! We gave him 30! The sound protection in hotel is very poor... More

I stayed here a few years ago on the advice of business contacts, but this time my husband and I came for a four-night break. We considered the plush expensive options in the tourist centre but decided to come here, and it was a good choice. For a city with as many belfries and Vespas as Rome has, the night-time... More

Hotel Alessandrino is located within a residential area, the approach to the hotel is up quite a steep hill, which wasn’t a problem to us, but may be difficulty to anyone with mobility issues. Free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel, which is a great bonus. Rooms: Upon arrival, we were given a room on the second floor, which had... More

Stayed here 5 nights. Has everything you need in a convenient location, close to the Vatican, train station and buses. It is uphill, not a problem for us, but may be difficult with mobility issues. Quiet, clean, friendly staff. The breakfast was more than adequate. Has a nice roof top deck.

Me any my boyfriend just spent a week in Italy, in this lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave good advice. The location is fantastic just 10 minute walk to St. Peters Basillica and some nice local restaurants 5 minutes away. Once we had worked out public transport, also easy to get around-local station Staz san... More

stayed at this hotel recently with my wife, all staff ( bar one ) very helpful and obliging, and great location for Vatican. But BEWARE!! when we went down in morning for breakfast very little choice, constantly had to request basics like scrambled eggs, coffee, croissants- in fact everything! we were told there was no more food- and this being... Stayed in this hotel last week and also five years ago. Its a great hotel located very close to the Vatican, local shops, restuarants and San Pietro train station. This is where you get the train for citevecchia if your going on the cruise so it's a good place to stay before or after your cruise. The rooms are very... More

**Reading the negative review just posted, I would ask the reader to understand that it is not the hotel's fault if the guest is a jerk. Act like a jerk, and you will always find yourself on the short end of the stick in all of life's experiences.** My family and I have stayed at Alessandrino each time we visit... More

Alessandrino is located near the Vatican on a quiet suburban street. The hotel is very lovely and the staff extremely friendly. I could not have been happier with my stay from my early checkin, to the staff ordering in pizza for us. The roof garden is special.

Worst hotel experience! I work in travel industry and frequently stay at hotels around Europe but I was never before subjected to such a poor service! On the day of my arrival they briefly informed me that 'something is wrong with pipes in the bathroom' and they cannot accommodate me but instead arranged alternative accommodation for me in a nearby...
