Quite simply the best possible choice for a reasonably priced stay in Rome. Slightly off the beaten track but only 4 stops away from the Vatican by subway, with the station less than 100m from the hotel and just 1.50 Euro each way. Renata at reception could not be more helpful. Not much to do in hotel itself but that's... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a 3 night city break in Rome. The first thing you will notice about the hotel on arrival - and don’t be put off by this - is it does suffer a lack of curb appeal due to the location. The hotel is within a working class neighbourhood outside of Rome’s... More

Our stay here for a week was perfect, breakfast was delicious, and the Renata the receptionist was so helpful and welcoming and speaks amazing english and gave us great advice for where to eat locally. The rooms were lovely and very italian, would reccomend if you dont want to be in the noisy area of rome, as this hotel is... More

Ii highly recommend this hotel. Upon our early arrival (before checkout time) we were informed that our room was not yet ready. For our "inconveniience" we were upgraded to a suite for no additional charge. The room was superb, location excellent and included breakfast from cereals to scrambled eggs with ham. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The Metro... More

This hotel for our extra five days in Rome was better than all the 4-star hotels selected by our SITA coach tour operator for 8-day tour of Italy (two of which stunk... literally). Hotel Aurelius is small in a working class neighborhood with shops and restaurants but close to the metro red line Cornelia stop which is three stops west... More

My sister and I stayed here whilst sightseeing Rome. The Hotel is fantastic. Renata the receptionist was wonderful. Every time she was kind and greeted us with a smile and helped us with restaurants in the Cornelia area and for directions on how to get to the Catacombs of St Calixtus/Appian Way. The metro is literally around the corner and... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for the first part of our trip in Italy. This hotel is located in an area far from the city centre, but a 5 min walk to the metro station. This makes it much easier if you're traveling for a full day. The staff were really helpful and friendly. They provided us... More

Dear Guest, thanks you so much for sharing, on Tripadvisor, your considerations after staying in our Hotel Aurelius. So I'm really sorry you had to sleep in a bed too soft. As you know we all have habits completely different from those of any other. If we had known we would have solved the problem quickly and courteously. As far... More

Rooms were clean. Breakfast was perfect. Service was impeccable. However, I would not recommend this hotel in terms of location if you're there for only a short trip. We were in Rome for only 2 nights and found the time spent on travel to and from the city center could have been better spent on touring. The restaurants near the... More

Dear Angie, thank you for sharing on Tripadvisor, your thoughts and your personal feelings about our Hotel Aurelius. I agree with what you say in relation to the location, but if you do, I would just like to make a clarification. There are no roads, shops or restaurants that allow a hotel to have more or less stars but as... More

Dear Guest, thank you very much for wanting to share, on Tripadvisor, your experience in our Hotel Aurelius. But I would like to clarify two aspects of those you mentioned. In Rome the day pass for transport costs only € 6.00 while a hotel in the same category of ours costs 50% more, just because in the most central area.... More
