I stayed 4 nights with my family at B&B Calamatta. The prize is low but the service is high. The manager is so helpful and friendly. The room is clear and huge. The location is good too and you can walk to everything. I highly recommend B&B Calamatta.

The hotel was in a good location for that part of Rome. The rooms were recently refurbished and very tastefully decorated with thoughtful details. The bathroom was superb and a real treat with plenty of room and very modern fixtures. The kettle and tea and coffee facilities in room were welcome. There is a very cute balcony where you could... We stayed for 3 nights and chose this guest house as it was close to an event we were going to. The room was clean and comfortable and the little terrace was a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Valerio was a great help with maps and directions and recommended some really good local restaurants serving good... More

At first, I wasn't pleased with this place because they overbooked me on the first night and made me go to one of their "sister" hotels, Hotel Colombo. Hotel Colombo was the worst experience of my entire life so a) never go there b) if B&B Calamatta tries to send you to one of their sister hotels, REFUSE. However, after... More

wonderful bed, spacious shower and fast internet and good breakfast. The B&B owner is super friendly and helpful. He even helped me receive an important document shipped via UPS during my stay. I will come back again.

What a little gem! Hidden in a side street not far from all the main tourist attractions (all with in walking distance). Valerio the owner could not have been more helpful providing us with a map with routes for each day's stay, including recommendations for restaurants and Sant Eustachio's, the best coffee shop in Rome. He also booked us skip... More

Picked this hotel out of the blue hoping it was good. Turns out it is in a great location, clean, and safe. Valerio was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do. I would stay there again for sure.

Room was spacious and clean. B&B has a nice 3rd floor patio with tables that you can enjoy the outdoors. Valerio was extremely helpful and accommodating. Showed us a lot of options on the map on what to do. B&B is not in the heart of all the major tourist attractions, but within walking distance which was a huge plus... More

Our stay at Calamatta was an extraordinary travel experience. This B&B is located on a quiet street. It is off the beaten tourist path but really close to major attractions in Rome. For example, Plaza Navona is less than 10 minute walk. One advantage of such location is that restaurants around the place are reasonably priced and better than those... More

If and when I return to Rome, I absolutely will look forward to staying at Valerio's B&B again. I stayed here with a friend and we could not have asked for a better stay. Our luggage was lost by British Airways on our flight from the States to Rome. Valerio was fantastic. He got the bag information from us and... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
