we stayed for 1 night and it was wonderful. The staff made us more at home than at a hotel. The rooms were clean and bright with the huge window. We stayed at the room next to the breakfast room. The only thing that was the sound of the trains that could be heard, however that was not an issue for... More

I surrvived 3 days in this "imperial" hotel. Take a look at the windows..just some woods through you can hear everything that is moving in the street and not only. Everyday at 5:00 i wake up because i was able to hear the airplanes, the metro and the moto....and because i came through an agency from work they rent 3... More

The hotel is conveniently located just 15 minutes away of walking distance from the main train station. The staff was very friendly and the service is good. VFM breakfast available. The place is very calm and quiet. Clean and new place.

We spent 4 nights at Imperia Suite, on room number 5. There is nothing bad for me to say about the room, it was big, bright and clean. It was getting tidied every day and the towels changed every 2 days. Breakfast was a selection of pastries which was enough to cover our needs, a glass of juice and some... More

Very friendly and helpful staff who couldn't do enough for us. Lovely clean and spacious room with a great bathroom. Simple breakfast but prepared whenever you wanted and staff that were accommodating if you wanted something latter in the morning. Even though we were given a Metro and a tourist map locating the apartments it's still tough to find, particularly... More

I stayed at the Imperia Suite in the Policlinico area of Rome on 2 separate occaisions last month. After making a reservation on line, I received perfect instructions for how to travel to the location by train and metro - other options were given as well. The location is super well situated to the metro line, and is in a... More

I stayed here for a week and the accommodation was top class and the staff very helpful and informative. The restaurants the owners recommended where very good. They spoke good English and always greeted you with a smile. The rooms themselves were beautifully decorated and very comfortable with air conditioning that was essential in the Roman heat. I really enjoyed... More

We loved our room in the eaves with an adjoining sun terrace where we were able to relax after a busy time sightseeing. Tucked away in a quiet street near the metro, we found traveling to & from the city centre quick & easy. The staff were welcoming, friendly & very helpful. There is an excellent restaurant nearby which the... More

Stayed 4 nights. Great place to stay just outside of Rome, Policlinico being one stop from Termini. Rooms are extremely modern, clean and staff are really friendly!! Arrived at night so the place was a little difficult to find from the Metro, so a pre-printed map/directions would be helpful, even arriving during the day. Breakfast was standard pastries, bread and... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
