The room was very clean and with good facilities. But, I stayed during the summer and the air conditioning was broken.. I could not sleep very well. The street was noisy during the whole night. The breakfast was poor. Just some crackers and smal cakes,a bottle of milk, and two small orange juices.

Lianne was waiting for us when we arrived with smiles and maps and tons of helpful advice. Our room was lovely and clean and a great location to hop on and off buses and the metro. Loved walking through Testaccio area, MUST go to Volpetti's deli down the road. Close to a laundromat and many great restaurants. The only thing... More

Room was excellent. Access due to large bags was difficult but manageable Finding the guest house very easy and location excellent. It´s close the clubs and traditional restaurants. Manager also excellent

We stayed here after a booking problem with another B&B in Rome, overall this B&B wasn't as nice as the previous B&B we stayed in be it was a clean secure room which is really all we needed. (see my other review) Although the establishment is named guesthouse I didn't really feel like a guest in anyone's house since we... More

I have used the flat as base for working period, and my clients were very satisfied. Confortable, very close to the center, Enrico and Paola were very assisting. Moreover Testaccio is a perfect place to stay if you worked all day long: close to the center if you want to go for a walk, full of restaurant if you want... More

149 Guesthouse is in Testaccio, across the Ponte Sublicio bridge from Trastevere. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Piramide metro station, and within walking distance ( about 30 mins) to the Coliseum. The busy English-speaking landlady, Paula,, was most helpful and friendly' She does not live on the premises, however, though was available by phone. Therefore make... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
