Booked to stay here for three nights after reading other reviews. The location is a five minute walk from The Terminii and is situated on the sixth floor of a large building. We were greeted by Mabel who is delightful and is so helpful. The rooms are very clean and the continental style breakfast is perfectly adequate. Overall, a great... More

Overall the place is clean and in a good location for getting around Roma. The staff are friendly but with limited English. The room I am in is a bit small but that's OK as it is really only for sleeping but that's the problem. It is hard to sleep with the constant humming of what sounds like some kind... More

The loft is a cool spot. we booked it an hour before we got to rome and the host mabel met us and showed us the room right as we got in. the only downside is the elevator is tiny! like barely fit my husband and i both inside, but it is charming. the room was clean, great views, super... More

The hotel is a bit unusual, it is on the 6th floor in an apartment building. Very narrow elevator, and you need to look for the exact adress, not a sign to find it. Very cheap, 5 min walk from Termini railway station, walking distance to all the central famous places in Rome. Buses and metro/ trams close by. I... More

This charming b&b is perfectly placed in the centre of Rome with many landmarks within walking distance and transport links as well as a wealth of small restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Inside there is a relaxed modern feel to this top floor apartment. Each room is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and yes, the Rocky Horror style lift is tiny!... More

Mabel the lady who organised and ran The Loft was so polite and helpful, she made our stay really pleasant. The location of the loft was excellent in terms of transport links, as it is right by the termini (the train station, buses and metro all go from there) there are also lots of lovely little family run restaurants in... Now I'm normally a min 4 star hotel girl but thought I'd try something outta the box in Rome. From the minute we got inside I was happy with my choice. Mabel greeted us with warmth and open arms. The rooms are very clean and bathroom also. We had a private bathroom and although the shower is tiny it's very... More

The loft is only 5 minutes walk from the Termini and is situated on the 6?th floor of a mainly residential block. Being on the 6th floor i would advise using the small lift that you find in many Italian blocks unless you want to require a shower by the time you reach your room. The 6th floor has a... More

The loft is a lovely place to stay if visiting Rome for a long weekend. The bedroom and en suite are clean and are decorated simply, in neutral colours. Five minute walk from Termini station. The room was cleaned everyday with new towels and beds remade. It was quiet at night time and we only saw other residents at breakfast... More

We recently stayed here for 4 nights on a visit to Rome and found them to be a good choice of accommodation both for their position and cleanliness .Although not luxary they are well kept and clean and very close to the Terminal for the Metro. Mabel the owner is very helpful and provides a breakfast of sorts with the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
