Except for business trips, I had never stayed in the same hotel/B&B for four nights, until this one. It was a right choice. The location is excellent, close to the Termini as well as many restaurants and stores. We felt safe in the area. Many attractions are within walking distance, but it is equally convenient to take the public transportation... More

This place is in the best Location! It is 3 minutes walk from the Central station, ( if you walk in the right direction which we did not!) The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful and were the best for service. Its really is lovely! It is quaint , charming and eccentrically Italian being in a quirky lift that was... More

We stayed here for a week during our first visit to Rome. The lady who runs the Loft (Mabel) is very friendly and professional. There is a real 'home' feel to the Loft. It is very close to Termini and underground stations. There is lots of lovely restaurants close by and this location is an excellent base for a good... More

Fantastic welcome from Mabel-very friendly, accomodating and informative.(The occasional appearance of Mabel's dog-Chiara was a bonus for us-a very beautiful and friendly little dog). The Loft is in an excellent location-easy walk from Termini (good choice as we had travelled by train from Florence ), many historic sites of interest are within reasonable walking distance. The Loft is clean, fresh and excellent value... We thought we got scammed when we arrived coz nobody was answering the door but then a few minutes later, somebody came out of the other door. We were welcomed by Mabel and apologised for taking long. She gave us room no. 5. It was rather big with high ceiling and with our own bathroom. The air conditioning took awhile... More

Booked to stay here for three nights after reading other reviews. The location is a five minute walk from The Terminii and is situated on the sixth floor of a large building. We were greeted by Mabel who is delightful and is so helpful. The rooms are very clean and the continental style breakfast is perfectly adequate. Overall, a great... More

Overall the place is clean and in a good location for getting around Roma. The staff are friendly but with limited English. The room I am in is a bit small but that's OK as it is really only for sleeping but that's the problem. It is hard to sleep with the constant humming of what sounds like some kind... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
