We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, it is small and friendly. If you want to stay somewhere within easy reach of most sights with staff that offer friendly service and expert local knowledge, this is the place to stay. Thank you,Jean, Luigi, Antonio, Fredrico, Dina and Ashwin.

We had a wonderful stay here over Easter. The hotel itself was very clean & tidy. The staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful, especially Jean. It is situated centrally & all of the main attractions are very accessible. Book directly with the hotel for the best prices!

Quaint little hotel in a good location in Rome. The outstanding thing about this hotel is the staff - Marianna and Antonio were so helpful friendly and great fun - thanks so much to them for looking after us so well. We threw coins in the Trevi Fountain, so if we do return we'll stay here again for sure!

Nice and clean with a good location, this hotel is a decent 'no frills' pick in an expensive city. The interior and furnishings are dated, but clean and we'll looked after. The walk is about 10mins, mostly downhill, from Termini and is relatively straightforward to find . We felt safe in the area and once you're past the bustle of... More

Hotel is 10 minutes from rome central station and 20 minutes to coloseum by walk. Hotel is pretty old and as it is in historic place, expect it as Italian 18th century Experience. Hosts Antonio and Jean are good and give a personal touch. They provided us breakfast after 930 am as a special exception.

We spent a week at his hotel having picked it from the many reviews on Tripadvisor. We are pretty much budget travellers who are more interested in the city we visit than in the perks of a fancy hotel but have so far never dared book a 2-star. All we look for is clean, wholesome accommodation located so that we... More

We chose this Hotel for its location, in the centre of Rome. We travelled from Sorrento by train at it is a 10/15 minute walk from the station. The staff were very helpful and Marianna was very welcoming. There is a lift up to the first floor, but nice to walk down the cool marble staircase in the evening. We... More

so many good reviews! I still don't understand, really. Location is good, I agree. But except that... The room was smelly from the water drains in the bathroom Even if the room is properly cleaned it feels dirty : first the white walls are dirty, many marks on them, wallpaper trip is in bad condition. And everyting is old!!! i... More

Dear Guest Thank you for staying in our hotel . We are very sorry to hear that our structure did not meet up to your requirements . Our hotel is located in the historic centre, therefore all the buildings are not recently constructed , except some like the IQ hotel which is 4 star hotel , where you also stayed... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
