The Hotel Giuliana was a perfect location for visiting the sites of Rome. We stayed there for five nights in January and our first night we walked from the hotel to the Colisseum. We were very close to tour bus stops as well and also to the Cavour metro stop which takes you anywhere you want to go. The beds... More

We stayed at Hotel Giuliana for 8 days. The hotel is very charming! We loved that it is an older building. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed! Our internet worked well. We looked forward to our breakfast every morning! They made us the best cappuccinos! We walked to all of the main attractions and... More

Hotel Giuliana is an excellent value 2 star Hotel. For us the location was very good being only 15 minutes walk from the Train Station and Airport transfers. A 20 to 30 minute walk will take you to the main attractions in Rome. The Hotel is located on the second floor of an apartment block in a quieter area of... More

We were welcomed like old a friends when we arrived at the hotel. The staff is fabulous!! The room is clean. The location is... More

When we arrived we were a bit worried because we saw the hotel is only two stars and the entrance is in a regular apartments building, but I can safely say this is the most happy and satisfied I left an hotel for years. The rooms are just what you need, good beds, clean, good shower, a safe and minibar.... More

We arrived early am, and got a nice breakfast and directions for walking to the Coliseum and the Forum. They also arranged an airport pickup for us. Rooms were nice sized and very clean. Staff was friendly and spoke good English.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
