We first stayed here five years ago and when we decided to return to Rome Hotel Giuliana was our first choice. Great location within walking distance to Station, Trevi fountain, Colosseum & Spanish Steps and only a short taxi ride to the Vatican. Our main reason to return was the warm welcome from the staff who made us feel part... More

The location of this hotel is just perfect, within walking distance from Termini, Republica stations and the Colosseum........And by walking distance, I mean less than 10 minutes walking.... Breakfast is moderate and abundant, room area is fine.... Staff is extremely friendly. I would recommend that the booking is done through their website, they would give you special rates. Wifi is... We stayed for 3 nights and we were well looked after. The staff are very friendly and willing to help and we could not fault them. Our double room was clean and comfortable, with a great shower but it would benefit from a refurbishment, the decor felt just a little tired and dated. The breakfast area is rather cramped and... This hotel was a real find in Rome. The woman who runs the hotel is very, very nice and made sure each day that we had what we needed. The rest of the staff was very attentive as well. The rooms were spacious and clean. We couldn't have been more happy. I'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel Giuliana for one night prior to doing a 4 day Amalfi coast tour, then another 4 nights when we came back to Rome. Jean and the staff are incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They helped with storing our bags, booking tours, directions, booking restaurants, nothing was too... More

This was our 5th time to stay at Hotel Giuliana and again, we were not disappointed!! The location is great as it's within walking distance of many of Rome's main attractions, the accommodations are more than adequate, the coffee at breakfast is great, but what pulls us back to the Giuliana are the folks who own & operate it. They... More

Location, Location, Location. This was a lovely smallish hotel , staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This family run hotel is in a perfect position to explore the many wonderful sights of Rome. 10 minute walk from the main station,20-25 mins from the Coliseum, the Pantheon and the Forum, close to the Spanish steps and Trevi, and a stones... We were at Hotel Giuliana for 4 nights and our staying was really nice. The rooms are clean, the breakfast was simple but of a really good quality, and the staff were really nice with us at any moment. Plus, the location is perfect if you don't want to take buses or metro to go to the nicest places of... More

The hotel is easy to get to from Termini Station; approximately a 5-7 minute walk. If you are not used to European hotels, this hotel is part of a larger building so the entrance may not be so obvious. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast which was included in our booking is very humble - croissants, toast, fruit, hot... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
