We stayed at Giuliana in June for 3 nights and had a very comfortable stay here. The location is perfect as it is walking distance from Roma Termini as well as all the major attractions. We walked around to all the places like Colloseum, Pantheon, Spanish steps etc. The locality is lively yet peaceful, charming and safe. Our return journey... More

We stayed for a week at Hotel Giuliana. It is in a great location by the Spanish Steps in the heart of the city. There is a bus stop on the tourist route just moments away and even in the heat of the day everywhere other than the Vatican is easily accessible on foot. There are lots of fantastic restaurants... This hotel is perfectly located for all the sights in Rome and spotlessly clean and comfortable. However, the highlight of the place is the fact that all the staff are so friendly and they all go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. They booked taxi's to collect and... More

We stayed at hotel giuliana for 5 nights after it being recommended by lonely planet book. Upon arrival and throughout our stay we were greeted by the lovely staff members, and had a comfortable and clean room. (Just a Little noisy because of the market in the street) The hotel was in a great location which allowed us to walk... More

The hotel was centrally located and supplied everything we needed. The manager and staff were friendly and helpful. They offered helpful suggestions. If I get back to Rome I would stay there again. Was hard to find but a great value.

Spent 4 night in the superior room. the room and bathroom were large and clean. The decor not modern, so don't look for a trendy hotel.the room faced the inner court so it was very quiet (some minimal noise from the corridor). Rome is very loud-traffic is terrible, so i'm guessing every room facing the road will be noisy without... More

Marianna and Antonio made our stay absolute perfection with their hospitality and clean, comfortable rooms! Starting with the ancient elevator, full of charm, to the exceptional open air market every day right outside our door, this hotel is a perfect choice for our stay in Rome!!! Every morning there was breakfast and cappuccino waiting for us. The entire staff at... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
