We had a lovely stay at the River Palace. We booked a Deluxe Room through Expedia and glad we did. It wasn't huge but was fine for a city centre hotel. Good Points: Very friendly and helpful staff Good location, no more than 30-40 mins walk from all the major attractions Room and communial areas clean and well kept Bar... More

Stayed for three nights, the hotel was in a great location, our room was clean, modern and certainly big enough. Staff checked the room twice a day and the overall service was excellent. As we travelled over Easter they served Champagne for breakfast on Easter Sunday - a nice touch. We had a great time and would certainly go back... More

We had a great four days at this hotel in April. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of all major sights. We didn't use public transport once choosing to explore the city on foot. The bar in the hotel currently has an offer of 50% discount off all drinks between 6-9pm which is nice after a long day... More

I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and was pretty happy. The room I stayed in was in the 2nd floor and it was TINY. The twin bed was next to the wall with one small end table. At the foot of the bed was the flat screen TV on top of the mini bar. There was a small... More

Could not fault the location, the service from the hotel team, the breakfast and the style of the hotel, Very clean hotel, very helpful staff. felt like we were staying at a much more expensive hotel. Gold leaf detail on ceilings along with hand painted sky ceilings in every room. Beds quite firm however staff soon came to our room... More

The first room we were given (804 or 805, can't remember) was tiny. I mean there was just enough room for a bed and you could trip over that when you entered the room. And that was a Double Classic. The bathroom was small too. So we asked to change and took room 205 for an additional €50 a night.... More

The staff were very professional. The host in the dining room made one feel as if he was keeping a watchful eye on how full you filled your plate. Not a good vibe. The cost of the breakfast buffet or continental breakfast is included in the price of the room. so there was no need for the this. Also, in... More

We stayed here recently on a family trip - all I can say is that we were treated to excellent service for the 4 days we stayed there. The reception staff in particular were friendly, helpful, funny and kind. The bar staff were also excellent - I have to say that staying in this hotel made our stay in Rome... More

We stayed there for three nights. The hotel is about two blocks away from the Flaminio metro A line stop which is four stops from Rome's main train station (Termini stop). [When you come out of the Flaminio station, look for the Burger King which is on northwest corner and walk 1.5 blocks north on Via Flaminia; the hotel is... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
