We stay 3 nights in out last visit to Rome and the experience at River Palace couldn't be better. Maybe the classic room could be bigger but its completely functional and clean. The bed is comfortable and it's very important after a long journey walking around this amazing city. Another thing to mention is breakfast: eggs, bread, prosciutto, parmesan cheese...... More

We had 3 rooms. Coming from the US, the rooms are smaller than the ones from the states. However, that is how it is in Rome. Nevertheless, the rooms were very clean and the in perfect order. The breakfast was included in our package and each day, the breakfast was awesome. The staff (front desk, bellman, breakfast staff and happy... More

This review is a tad bit late but as they say...better late than never. We stayed at this lovely hotel in August of 2012. (We did not stay here the date it made me pick for the review) Right near the Piazza del Popolo and walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. I can't say enough about the... More

Just back from 6 days in Rome for my wife's special birthday. We booked the River Palace Hotel on the back of excelllent comments on Trip Advisor. The hotel is well located for the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and all the Roman antiquities. We never used public transport and walked miles, part of the fun of Rome. The staff... More

The River Palace was such a great hotel! The staff were all very helpful and polite, especially Sergio at the reception desk. They have a jar of delicious citrus chewy candies we continually felt guilty about taking...Sergio kept it well stocked. He was very helpful in directing us to several sites, circling them on a map for us and letting... More

Recently had a girls weekend on 17th October for 3 days. We chose River Palace Hotel for its location and good reviews. We were not disappointed at all! The hotel was clean, reception staff extremely helpful, the rooms were beautifully decorated - and yes, as per all the reviews not huge, but big enough for a couple. Lovely bathroom and... More

Stayed 4 days at this hotel Oct 24-29. Hotel was typical European, smaller rooms but very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was big but not that tasty. However, the Front Desk Staff went above and beyond to assist with anything we needed. That means a lot when traveling abroad!

This is the perfect location to explore Rome- 2 minutes from a lovely piazza, then 15 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps, 30 minutes to the Pantheon and Piazza Novona, 30 minutes to the Vatican and 40 minutes walk to the Colosseum (all easy walking, just busy with people). Downstairs of the hotel is brilliant- service was really good throughout,... More

We spent 7 nights here for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Europe and it was a very pleasant experience! The room was very clean, I knew going into the stay that the rooms were small but if you use the closet for storage instead of living out of the suitcase, there was really no problem with space.... Spent 3 nights here with my wife in Oct 2014. Rooms are typical sized for a Europeans city but very comfortable it must be said. Bathroom was spacious but shower would not stay up on the rail so had to hold the shower head when showering. The happy hour from 6-10pm was a nice touch, some visitors used the free... More
