My trip didn't start too well, unfortunately, because I lost my wallet at the airport and was stuck without cards or cash. I phoned the hotel and the man on duty (Giorgio, I think) was very sympathetic and helpful. They sent a car to collect me and I was checked in without any fuss, so I was very happy settling... More

Located near Piazza Popolo, and walking distance to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Victor Emannuel Mounument. Close to Metro. Nice bar and really good breakfast. Staff very kind and helpful. Small bathroom, but good shower. Highly recommend.

We booked this hotel as part of a British Airways Package Holiday, it had excellent reviews everywhere so I have booked with confidence. Location: It is maybe not in the middle of the touristic Rome a foreigner would expect, but actually it's location is better than that, very close to Via del Corso which houses many upscale shops, next to... Chose this hotel as it was central and of high standard and wasn't disappointed. Initially I was sceptical as I got a call the day before we left saying they'd overbooked and we're moving us to another hotel for the first night but it turns out I had nothing to worry about. The other hotel was nearby and of the... More

We were a group of 12 that stayed here for four days before a cruise. Beautiful hotel and friendly staff is what you will find. Our luggage did not make our plane and the desk staff was very helpful with calling Alitalia and checking on the status of our lost luggage. We finally got it after 2 days! The rooms... More

Just come back from an amazing holiday in Rome for our first wedding anniversary. The River Palace was an amazing hotel right near all the sites we wanted to visit. We actually opted for the bus and metro from the airport which cost around 8 euros return and we found this fairly easy, due to the time of year it... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of November. The decor of the hotel is beautiful. The bar area has lovely areas to sit and spend the evening if you wish. We stayed in the standard room, which although small, was not a problem for us. I took the advice of another reviewer and made... More

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in November and enjoyed it. As noted, the room (and our bathroom) were not large but good enough. On the hassle side, the hotel is actually two conjoined buildings so we had to take two small elevators to get to our second floor room; but we like to take the stairs for... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
