We loved the River Palace Hotel. We stayed here for two nights before a Mediterranean cruise. We were exhausted upon our arrival to Rome, but knew we needed to keep moving. We grabbed a slice of pizza a few doors down and then relaxed on their couches in the lobby while we waited for our room, which wasn't a problem... More

My daughter booked a surprise long weekend for my husband and I for a "special birthday " the location is fantastic Metro is just at the end of the road, lots of bars and restaurants to suit everyone taste and pocket. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful from checking in to checking out - they... More

We stayed at The River Palace recently for four nights over the Christmas holidays. Having researched the best hotel location very carefully, we chose this hotel based on the excellent reviews and well appointed location for walking to all the main tourist sights. And we were so glad we did. What a wonderful hotel. Beautiful interior design, friendly and welcoming... More

We spent 5 nights here on our last leg of our journey. Jose was great. He helped us with ideas of where to eat Filipino food since we were kinda homesick. He was so helpful and always had a smile on his face. Rebecca was so wonderful. She gave such great recommendations for food and places to visit. She was... More

This was my first time in Rome and had no clue where to stay or go. My choice, the River Palace was a success. The staff was wonderful, the service was first class. The hotel is in a great location for getting around the city. The room was a bit small but I was offered an upgrade at a reasonable... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel in a Double Room Classic as a special way to cap off a backpacking trip through Europe and to celebrate her birthday. We had a really good time. The rooms themselves are not huge, but comfortable. You can also choose to upgrade for a reasonable cost if there are larger rooms available.... More

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The staff goes out of their way to be warm and friendly. They are knowledgeable also. Breakfast is not great (except they have warm scrambled eggs, which were great, and delicious coffee)--the usual Italian fare--bread is not edible, and lots of cold cuts. But it is plentiful and included in the price. Rooms are... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
