Our first trip to Rome was enhanced by our experience with River Palace Hotel. Located at an ideal location close to the entrance of Northern Rome at Piazza de Popoli. A quiet smaller boutique hotel...it exceeded our expectations. What made our experience so ideal were the hotel staff. Max, Sergio, Georgio, Francesca were like personal friends and our own travel... My husband and another couple have recently returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. The hotel has very comfortable surroundings and is very welcoming. We were offered an upgrade on arrival for an additional charge and were also given the opportunity to view our choices before making the decision. The upgraded room was lovely, large and... More

We enjoyed a three night stay at this hotel. The staff was accommodating And the facility was clean. He breakfast buffet was very good and had many good offerings. We really enjoyed being able to end our long days of sight seeing with lots of walking with a stop into the bar for happy hour, which was from 6:00 to... More

we have recently spent a fantastic four night stay in this gorgeous hotel for our silver wedding anniversary, It really lived up to expectation in every way. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble, Upon arrival we were given an option to upgrade for an extra 80 euros for... More

Like any hotel, there are good aspects and not-so-good aspects. We found the good aspects to be: Not too far from the sites in Ancient Rome that we wanted to see. We used the Metro and it was Flaminia Metro to Terminii station and then change to the B line and alight at Colosseo. Simple. (though I have to add... More

My wife and I had a nice time at River Palace. It was within 20-30 min walking distance of most of the sites in Rome. The rooms were a little small but comfortable. The only complaint we have is that we asked for a wake-up call that never came and If I didn't set my alarm we would have missed... More

If you desire a very, very small room and tiny bathroom for 200 e per night, than this is the place for you. For us, never again! We arrived here for a two night stay at the end of a 14 day tour of Italy. The service desk manager was not the friendliest, nor the most helpful. We couldn't upgrade,... More

Beautiful but small hotel. It was in a great location to shopping by foot. Staff were very helpful and assisted us in recommendations for dinner and tours for the days were there. Happy hour at the bar was blast with other visitors.

What a great find and classic older style Italian hotel beautifully decorated and with an inviting ambience. The River Palace is in a very convenient location with a Metro station nearby and in walking distance of many of magnificent Rome's attractions. Comfortable quiet rooms and fabulously helpful staff make the a River Palace a must stay hotel. Breakfasts are excellent... More

We stayed at River Palace Hotel for the first night and last 3 nights of our tour of Italy. The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and the happy hour prices were great. The location made for great accessibility to the attractions of Rome either by foot or by taxi. The staff was very helpful, especially Sergio, throughout our... More
