After reading reviews on Tripadvisor we booked The River Palace Hotel. It is centrally located, by Piazza de Popolo with most major sites walkable within 15 - 30 min, & 150 yards from the Metro. You could easily walk past this hotel as it is unassuming and not one of the nicest streets. The staff are amazing and so friendly,... More

This was my second stay at the River Palace. This time there were six of us total, two to a room, and we all agreed that we were 100% happy with our choice. The staff was very friendly, cheerful, and helpful, and made us all feel so welcome. The rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The food provided... More

We've just come back from 4 days in Rome to celebrate my partners 50th and this hotel really made the trip. The staff are very helpful and polite. We hired a Vesta for 2 days and they let us park in the underground car park free of charge. There is a great choice of drinks for Happy hour every evening... More

Having spent four nights here we can endorse all the positive comments from location to decor to staff to breakfast to Happy Hour and can also say we weren't as surprised by many people by the size of our room. Yes it was small but this is a city and space is at a premium. In any case the bedroom... More

From the outside you could just walk past, like we did, but once inside you meet a very friendly member of staff that go out of their way to be helpful and informative. Our room was on the eight floor which suited and was prepared well. The only down side was the lift was having repairs and we had to... More

The River Palace Hotel is to the north of central Rome but is within a 10 minute walk of the Spanish Steps and other facilities. On our first night we had a major issue with inconsiderate noisy Polish guests and after many attempts by us and the night staff to quieten them down we moved to a quieter room. Other... More

We visited in March - off season for American tourists. I booked an upgraded room, breakfast included. I don't know if it is free for every room - but since the hotel was not full, we were upgraded again [Thank you!] to a deluxe room. I've been in Rome before, and didn't expect to have a huge room, and it... More

Picked this hotel as it was near friends who live in Rome. However, I would choose to stay there even if it was not near them. Centrally located, by Piazza de Popolo with most major sites walkable within 15 - 30 mins. Keenly priced. Unfailingly friendly and helpful staff. Generous breakfast which includes prosecco! And don't miss the bar in... More

Me and my partner have just come back from a four night stay in Rome at the River Palace Hotel. The hotel was fabulous from start to finish, a wonderful welcome, fantastic room and the friendliest staff. They couldn't of been nicer or more helpful. Loved the turn down service and the happy hour(s) and breakfast were more than expected.... More

We have just got back from a 4 night stay in the River Palace. And I must say we had a lovely time. The staff were very helpful, the room was lovely (yes a bit on the small side) but you don't go to Rome and stay in your room. The location was excellent, I would recommend this hotel to... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
