We arrived in Rome for day 4 of our road trip from Pisa to Naples. We had booked this hotel for 1 night, so we had a lot to pack in to our day in Rome! I chose the hotel mainly due to the review on its location and we werent disappointed! We arrived and pulled up outside, went in... More

We stayed 3 nights at the River Palace Hotel while on a recent trip to Italy. 3 things separate the River Palace than most of the other Hotels we stayed at. Number 1: The air-conditioning was fantastic. (I know I am an American and we need it cool!!!! I cannot help my desire to get out of the brutal Italian... More

We spent three nights at the Rover Palace Hotel, and we can only describe it as "functional" rather than "plush", which was a real disappointment to us having experienced two other high quality hotels during our trip to Italy. The bedrooms were very small, and the bathrooms were tiny (example: when sitting on the toilet, it was difficult not to... More

Stay here! You won't regret it! The staff was wonderful! Rooms are tiny but decorated lovely! The staff was helpful and gave great recommendations. Included in our stay was a happy hour daily! We enjoyed our stay very much.

We enjoyed our stay at the River Palace which was conveniently located off the Piaza del Populo in a residential neighborhood. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel had a nice happy hour from 6-10 which was nice after a long day of sightseeing.

My daughter and I spent several nights there and we were thrilled. It was very clean, the free breakfast was delicious and very convenient to many attractions. Everyone who worked there was very friendly. The people at the front desk could not have been more helpful.

My wife booked our 5 night stay there as a surprise for my 50th birthday and her choice was excellent - only a 10 minute walk to The Spanish Steps area, 25/30 minutes to The Vatican, 35/45 minutes to The Colosseum, 20/25 minutes to The Trevi Fountain - all very pleasant walks with plenty to see so allow time for... Great hotel. Fabulous staff who couldn't do enough to help. It was exceptionally hot whilst we were here so the air conditioning was wonderful. Great to walk to all the sites. Would have walked to the Vatican but it was too hot to move that day.

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
