River palace is a lovely 4 star hotel near Piazza di Popolo. Our room superior room was about 18 sqm but it had everything. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was veey helpful (they helped us very much by giving us many information about Rome, about transportation and about places to eat or visit). A wonderful hotel overall

This hotel is golden. And marble. it is not minimal or discreet in any sense. Once your eyes adjust you notice the finer details and the fine service. It is immacultalely clean in that lemony itliana way. Breakfast buffet is delicious--I hate buffets, i hate breakfast in opublic,. this was made enjoyable by a chef in kitchen who sings every... I cannot praise this hotel and it's staff enough, we had booked a trip to celebrate my partners birthday and can honestly say we had a truly fantastic time. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure your every need was met. We were greeted with a room upgrade and wine on the evening of... More

A great hotel in a great location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The choice of breakfast buffet is good. The rooms are small but beautifully presented, my only addition would be tea and coffee making facilities. Overall throughly recommend.

Booked this holiday as a last minute city break. The hotel is located near Piazza del Popolo which is in the north of the city centre. There is a metro station within 5 mins walk and tickets can be bought from the local Tabac. Its an easy 15 mins walk to the city centre and 10 mins to the Spanish... More

We stayed at the River Palace the 5th through the 9th Feb 2015. The location is great for sightseeing and convenient for the Metro and the trams going north of the city. We received a warm welcome from staff at reception and they recommended excellent restaurants that were frequented by locals. Throughout our stay all staff were very, very helpful.... More

I stayed at this hotel on the 31 Dec 2014. From the moment we checked in we were treated wonderfully by all the staff at the Front desk, the bell boy, the service staff etc. We had a fabulous junior suite, one single bed, in the first room with its own TV and a double bed in the second room... This hotel was in a great location. Just a short 10 minute walk to the spanish steps and all the major hopping. About 20 minute walk to Pantheon and Piazza Navona. I upgraded so my room was totally fine. The staff at this hotel go above and byond to make you feel welcomed, comfortable and supported. They are on top... More

A friend and I have just spent 3 nights at this comfortable, quiet, very well appointed hotel in a great location. The thing we liked best was its 'happy hour' which lasts from 6.00-10.00pm every evening when all drinks, nibbles and substantial snacks are half-price. After a three-hour walking tour on two consecutive days all we wanted to do was... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
