Just returned from a 5 day family break, staying at the River Palace Hotel, Rome, celebrating my 50th birthday along with my twin brother ( six of us in all ) in four rooms. The hotel surpassed our expectations, the rooms were beautifully and elegantly decorated, the service from hotel staff was second to none. My hotel room although perfect... More

Fantastic location! Happy Hour is a must! Snacks on the bar are delicious, free of charge! Staff very friendly. Room small but pleasant. Next to Piazza Popollo where the main street to all the attractions run from.

This hotel was recommended to me from a friend. My daughter and I stayed here from July 2-8 as we celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday in Italy. The hotel was easy to get to by Metro-down the street from the train station. The hotel is very well kept and decorated beautifully. We stayed in a standard room, which was a... More

Just got back from a 5 day break in Rome and a cracking stay in a top hotel. It's not often that the photos of a hotel live up to what is portrayed on line, but this one does!. The hotel is so clean you could eat off its marble floors. The facilities are excellent, I agree with a previous... More

Our travel agent booked this hotel for us. We were immediately impressed with the way we were treated when we arrived. They took care of our luggage and escorted us to the couches in the lobby area to inform us about the area and the amenities in the hotel. They were always helpful in getting us a taxi for our... Great Hotel, we were made to feel very welcome when we arrived in the hotel. We could not get our room until 2pm but this was not an issue. We received a free upgrade to our room (i cannot remember the name of the room we received but it had a desk and was situated on floor 7 with a... More

We stayed at this beautiful hotel from 10th-14 th August for our honeymoon And was transferred free of charge to their sister hotel river chateaux for one night to stay in their beautiful suite as a present from the manager and it was luxurious, we came back to the hotel we booked into and found a bottle of wine on... Breakfast was a banquet And again staff were helpful, polite friendly My only thoughts on a. Drawback was the... More

Situated immediately north of Piazza del Popolo on Via Flaminia, this hotel is just a little off the beaten track but within walking distance (20 minutes?) of some of the major sights - Spanish Steps, Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican and right beside a Metro Station, tram terminus and close to bus links if you're going further afield. Unassuming from... More

The River Palace Hotel was simply perfect. As first time visitors to Rome (stayed 27th-31st July) it was refreshing to encounter such polite staff who genuinely made us feel welcome. Right from arrival when we enquired about room upgrade options (having read suggestions on here). This was no problem at all, in fact we were accompanied by a member of... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
