This is a really nice hotel, somehow close to many attractions. clean spacious rooms, and nice breakfast, with very friendly staff. however be aware that money disappears from the room. so watch out for your money.

I have just returned from Rome where I stayed in the Capo d'Africa Hotel. A friend of mine had stayed there previously and had quite enjoyed the stay. It is quite basic but very good value and everything functions well. The rooms are not overly generous and the bathroom verging on small but that is not a complaint, just an... More

I couldn't get into my regular hotel in Campo, so I tried the Capo d'Africa. What a find! Room was clean, bed was comfy, bathroom was modern and well-appointed. Service was excellent, and everyone spoke English well. Breakfast was plentiful, with more choices than the usual Continental. The gym was nice, too. Three things that often disappoint me when I'm... Blocks away from the Coliseum, the Metro, tram and buses as well.So you can walk or ride with the Roma Pass for 3 days. All the staff were very accommodating and the turn down service was extremely timely. Great breakfasts, cafe service in hotel lobby area with Victoria and free wifi. Well done!

The hotel is couple of blocks from the coliseum, you can actually walk there. It's a small hotel but very clean with excellent breakfast and free internet. it has a rooftop where you can have dinner and drinks and enjoy music while you sit and enjoy the view of the coliseum...You can catch the tour buses from a major street... This hotel is very central. It's a stone's throw from the Coliseum and there are lots of good restaurants near by. I found the bed and, in fact, the room very comfortable. The front desk staff were very, very helpful. It was very quiet at this hotel which was very appreciated after being in transit for several days.

We spent Five nights here pre-cruise in October 2014, Very happy with our choice, as the Capo is a wonderful hotel offering great value for the price paid. Our room a deluxe double was a very nice size and convenient to both the stairs, elevator and breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast irw was very good each morning with multiple choices.... More

I stayed in this hotel while on a study tour - it had been chosen because of its proximity to the early Christian sites we were visiting. Comfortable, modern room which was quiet despite the traffic. Interesting decor; Good breakfast served in a rooftop area with access to the open air. (Loved the persimmons!) The bar in reception was manned... More

Hotel - clean and friendly Breakfast - very good and attentive service Balcony - beautiful plants, seating areas and views Price - reasonable Reception calling the wrong room at 0500 - priceless :( but this was the only negative in what otherwise, so far, has been a tremendous location

Capo d'Africa Hotel was quite a surprise. As the taxi was driving us to our destination I began to notice that we were going to more of a residential area and the assumptions began to run through my head. Once the driver stopped and I stepped out of the car, I was greeted by a very nice looking hotel and... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
