Hotel is in great location, 5 minutes away from the colosseum. Bed is very comfortable- with the amount of waking you do in Rome it is important to have a great night sleep. Breakfast- average - but they do say American breakfast so i suppose it is expected . Staff at the desk were very nice and helpful however not... More

I was so impressed with this hotel.. It was clearly the HIGH end of a 4 star. The service level was excellent, it was super clean and modern and always smelled great... i.e. cleaning scents and candles. At first i was concerned the location was off the beaten path, but it actually worked out very well for us. It was... More

So the hotel is located close to many of Rome's greatest attractions. We walked everywhere. The rooms are very nice with a touch of luxury. Very comfortable beds and the breakfast was amazing! It is served on a balcony with view over the Colosseum! The staff was very helpful. We didn't have anything planned for our days in Rome and... More

Situated on a quiet back street of Rome, within a short walk from the Colisseum and Roman Forum, this gem of a hotel is perfect for a stay in the Eternal City. The room was beautifully clean with a huge king-sized bed and was cleaned every day. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who made us feel like... More

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. It is within walking distance of the Colosseum and Forum. Stayed 3 nights. Rooms very nice with great A/C. Staff very accommodating. Breakfast on the top floor was very nice. Close to some good restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel.

The cleaning of the rooms was inconsistent in room 209 it was great, in my kids room 219 there were days where the towels were not all replaced. We had a few days in Rome with our boy. The staff at the hotel has been very friendly and helpful, what more you need! The rooms are clean and spacious. It is located on a little street, therefore, the environment is quiet and we had good night sleep. It is very easy to find places and some good restaurants... More

I stayed three nights at Capo d'Africa. The hotel is in a good location as it is in a quiet street but in short walking distance from the colosseum and Roman Forum. There were lots of places to eat nearby when we didn't want to venture far in the evening. The best thing about the hotel is the rooftop terrace.... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
