This hotel is a good base to explore Rome, being close to the main station. Professional and helpful staff, they give out free maps and indications to the main tourist sites. The prices are good for this location, but the comfort of the rooms is pretty standard, nothing special. Still, recommended when going on your own.

I stayed in this hotel for my first three nights in Rome. The Wi-Fi service was atrocious. I had to come down to the lobby to be able to get signal. The beds were hard as a rock and I woke up each day with pain in my hips since I sleep on my sides. Luca and the Egyptian concierges... More

This hotel was my first stop in Rome, and it set the entire trip off in a horrible way. The front desk staff (except for a young man at night)--was incredibly rude. Not only was my room so out of date--it was miserable, old bedding, no air conditioning (even though I booked it and it said it was). I only... More

I bought a package that included this hotel. It is conveniently located very close to the Termini Station which is an advantage if you arrive at the Rome Fiumicino Airport or if you need to take a train at the Termini Station. You can take a bus from the airport to the Termini Station that cost only 4 euros. The... More

Our first time in Rome, didn't know what to expect, arrived at the hotel at 10am, 2 hrs before check in but this was fine as our room was ready .. However it was very old and at the front of the hotel ( very noisy ) I was very disappointed, I headed back to reception to ask could we... More

This hotel was quite nice as we first walked in and the lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful (also talked great English). The room was very small but was not a problem as we were only there for two nights. The heater on the other hand was terrible and wouldn't turn off or turn down so it... More

We wanted something close to the termini and not only was it close but the room was huge. We had a small couch desk refrigerator. The bathroom was in great shape. If I visit Rome again I would definitely stay there. The staff was helpful with directions.

After stopping in this hotel for a 2nd time we were not disappointed with the stay. It is in an ideal location (a few minutes walk from the Termini) but is still quite a night. We first stayed here a few years ago in August and the air-con was a relief from the intense summer heat. This time we stayed... More

Most people at the front desk are very helpful and they will hold your luggage if you arrive before your room is ready. Francesco was at the desk some nights and he was extremely pleasant and helpful. When checking in, they will ask you to leave your passport with them for a short time. Don't be alarmed - a lot... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
