We stayed at the Hotel Fori for a long weekend. The hotel is quite basic, with a very small room and shower, but this really is made up for by the location. Less than 5 minutes walk to the main Colosseum metro station. Just walk along the alley and you are met by amazing views for the Colosseum and Forum.... More

I stayed here for 4 nights with my friend joining me for 3 of them. The staff were lovely, rooms were clean and there is a lovely roof terrace with views over the Colosseum and Trajans Markets. The only complaint was the size of the shower, it was tiny. Overall, great hotel and I'll definitely be back!

We stayed in the hotel for three nights and it is ideally placed for most of the famous attractions that Rome has to offer, depending on what type of visitor you are. The metro is less than 5 minutes away and is located right across from the main entrance to the Colosseum. The Piazza Venezia is a 10 minute walk... More

We booked a room and wanted to move the date - 3 months is advance. Cancellation policy was 48 hours so we were all set we thought..... On the confirmation email was a link to cancel or modify your reservation, when we clicked on it, it was simply a link to the online confirmation and there was no way to... More

My mother and I stayed here for 3 nights in November. The best thing about this hotel is the location, round the corner from the Colosseum and with the Vatican being about a 25 minute walk. All the main tourist attractions are within walking distance, with restaurants located very nearby too. The room and bathroom was spacious, clean and comfortable.... More

My son and I stayed here for 5 nights and I could not find a flaw in anything about the hotel or location. It's in what we would call an alley way but for Rome is perfect. Was very quiet yet a block from the main street with all the shops and cafes. In the other direction a block or... More

Walking distance to major Rome attractions and wonderful restaurants, yet tucked away on a charming side street. Very clean. Service was above and beyond, with the exception of one male staff member. Rosa went above and beyond in providing travel information and online maps for our travels to Ostia and Sienna. Pietro went above and beyond with his service at... More

We walked down from the train station took about 10. Min. Close to the centre of town. We liked our accommodation and breakfast. We took advantage of a Roma pass and would recommend that. We would come back to this hotel the next time we are in Rome

This is a lovely small, comfortable and good value hotel in a narrow back street just minutes away from the Colisseum and Forum and a great selection of small restaurants and cafe bars. It was in a perfect location and it felt very safe and homely and all staff were very helpful and very pleasant. All contact I had with... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
