We stayed here because of reviews on this site, but mainly because we were a block from the Forum and Colosseum. The hotel is an ideal location to easily get the subway to the train station. Rome is a great city! We had a great time wandering around, riding the subway; not just seeing famous art and ruins, but exploring... More

We were looking for somewhere close to the major attractions with a "Local" feel and the Cavalieri delivered! Around the corner from the Colosseum and Forum and walking distance to other sites. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful, particularly Rosa! When we return to Rome we will be booking again.

Given the prices of many hotels in Rome, we booked this one as it seemed to be a good value, located in a convenient spot relative to sites and public transportation, and had positive reviews. I can say the reviews here very accurately depicted all of the above. The hotel is down a quiet street from the TI right across... More

This was my second trip to Rome and my second stay at the Hotel Fori. I would go back again in a heartbeat. For exploring historical Rome, you cannot get a better location. It is situated on a side street just off the Via Fori Imperiali which is the main thoroughfare between the Colosseum and the Altare della Patria. You... More

You can't beat the location of this hotel. The Colosseum, Forum and Metro station are all within a couple of blocks of this hotel. We booked their classic room which was quite small, not a real problem as we didn't spend a great deal of time in there. The bathroom was also small and the shower was extremely tiny. The... More

We expected the room to be slightly small, but it was smaller than that: you more or less have just enough room to get in and out of each side of the bed, and at the end of our corridor there were three rooms tightly packed together, which made for a bit of noise at night. But we booked it... More

Our stay was ok, but I'm not sure this was the best hotel for us. We read that the rooms were small, but they ended up being so small we had no where to put luggage or sit down, and could not raise our arms in the shower. The staff seemed aloof and somewhat irritated at our questions, though that... More

I can't fault this hotel. The staff are absolutely fantastic and they make you feel part of the family. We loved every minute of our stay here and highly recommend it to everyone. The location is fantastic as it's close to most of the must see places in Rome! Thank you Rosa, Pietro and Nadia we'll see you all very... More

The room was average but the chairs that turned into twin beds were falling apart. Only the guest rooms were air conditioned so the lobby & breakfast area are not cool at all. Temps were in the 90's during our stay so this made for an uncomfortable breakfast. Coffee was fabulous but the food was just average. However the shower... More

Lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. Walking distance to everywhere. Lots of restaurants and a few supermarket/mini-markets not far.. Wonderful roof top terrace!! Would definately return.. Not too far from main station.. In a back street so could get lost but once your there it's easy enough to find your way around..
