This is a small intimate hotel with a friendly staff that tries to make your visit as agreeable as possible. The breakfast was good, the staff was welcoming and helpful, and it was a great value! The front desk assisted in calling cabs and making restaurant recommendations.

Located a few minutes away from the Coliseum. Very clean and comfortable for a good price. Rosa, Pedro and the rest of the Staff make you feel at home. Breakfast included is a plus to start your day. There is a rooftop terrace which can be great in warm months (we visited in January). Website reservation was quick and easy.... More

This hotel is in the best possible location. It is a couple minute walk to the Colosseum and Palatine hill. It is also in an area with lots of restaurants. There is a metro station located right by it also to metro to the Vatican and the main train station to get to the airport. We were able to walk... More

Could not fault this hotel! What a fabulous location too. We walked everywhere and no matter what hour we returned, we were met with a friendly smile . Staff great , breakfast had a wide choice and was plentiful. One morning they even opened breakfast nearly 20 minutes early for our friends, who had an early flight, could eat before... More

This is a great hotel - value for money, fantastic location and lovely staff. The breakfast is all you need to start the day. Free minibar is fantastic as you come in from a day of sightseeing. Weather permitting, drinks on the roof top is lovely! We would definitely stay here again!!

If you're touring in Rome you can't beat the location of this hotel. Walk to the Colosseum, Forum and several other sites along with several restaurants. The staff behind the desk is very accommodating and helpful, the breakfast is more than adequate (with made to order eggs and coffee drinks). We had our family of 4 in one family room.... More

Besides the location, the fact that we could get a room that would fit our family was a huge determinant in booking here. The hotel is your basic tourist class hotel. It's small and tucked away in an alley street, but very close to the colosseum. The lobby is tiny as well as the breakfast room. The first morning we... More

We stayed at the Hotel Fori for a long weekend. The hotel is quite basic, with a very small room and shower, but this really is made up for by the location. Less than 5 minutes walk to the main Colosseum metro station. Just walk along the alley and you are met by amazing views for the Colosseum and Forum.... More

I stayed here for 4 nights with my friend joining me for 3 of them. The staff were lovely, rooms were clean and there is a lovely roof terrace with views over the Colosseum and Trajans Markets. The only complaint was the size of the shower, it was tiny. Overall, great hotel and I'll definitely be back!

We stayed in the hotel for three nights and it is ideally placed for most of the famous attractions that Rome has to offer, depending on what type of visitor you are. The metro is less than 5 minutes away and is located right across from the main entrance to the Colosseum. The Piazza Venezia is a 10 minute walk... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
