This was my second stay here - the location is second to none, a couple of minutes from the Forum and Colosseum, 15 minutes walk to Trevi, The Pantheon etc, and with lots of bars and restaurants close by. The hotel is comfortable, the rooms are perhaps a little outdated but they are characterful and the location makes up for... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in early April. The weather outside was great (sunny and low 60s); however, the hotel had the heat blasting so that was quite uncomfortable since it blew directly on to the bed. The room and bathroom were definitely pretty small but it served its purpose. The hotel staff could have been more friendly but... More

We stayed in Rome recently and really enjoyed staying in this hotel! It was clean and had a very convenient location, while still off of the main road a bit. Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was great!

Beautiful little hotel in an excellent location. The concierge was helpful. The bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel. It added to our stay in Rome and was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing.

We went to Rome so I could run the Rome Marathon on March 22. Our plane arrived early so we got the hotel about 10am. The woman at the front desk was great and got us right in to a room even though check in wasn't until 2pm. I wish I could remember her name because she was so nice... More

I booked and planned this trip several months in advance as was treating myself for my 40th birthday to somewhere I had always wanted to see. After much research I chose Hotel Fori Imperiali Cavalieri. I booked a single room on their website and claimed an offer of free breakfast, wifi for the duration of stay and a free mini... More

Staff are very friendly, free wi-fi, good breakfast. The location is the best thing about this hotel. It's right beside the Colosseum, metro station and loads of other sites. restaurants etc. The negatives - there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, cleaning staff were a little loud in the mornings (I'm probably nit-picking), and there were no English... This is a small intimate hotel with a friendly staff that tries to make your visit as agreeable as possible. The breakfast was good, the staff was welcoming and helpful, and it was a great value! The front desk assisted in calling cabs and making restaurant recommendations.

Located a few minutes away from the Coliseum. Very clean and comfortable for a good price. Rosa, Pedro and the rest of the Staff make you feel at home. Breakfast included is a plus to start your day. There is a rooftop terrace which can be great in warm months (we visited in January). Website reservation was quick and easy.... More

This hotel is in the best possible location. It is a couple minute walk to the Colosseum and Palatine hill. It is also in an area with lots of restaurants. There is a metro station located right by it also to metro to the Vatican and the main train station to get to the airport. We were able to walk... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
