Let you Alessandra give all the advises and tips about Rome, even if you've already been here. We talk to her every morning, she's very friendly and professional at the same time. Probably her best value is her perfect condition to be the Rome's best Time Coach, because she perfectly knows about details: ask her for example about your visit... More

I cannot say more wonderful things about the Trastevere Colors! Every detail is attended to and the family makes your stay in Rome the best it can be. You let them know when you will arrive and someone from the family assists you with your check in. There are about 6 guest rooms-all relatively spacious, beds can be set up... More

I have recently returned from 5 days in Rome with my daughter and I can honestly say our stay at Trastevere Colors was a total delight. Trastevere is a fascinating and vibrant area with such a good choice of places to eat, street theatre and music and small interesting shops selling patisserie/deli/cheese...... The B&B is well located on the train/tram... More

Great little b&b in the middle of old and beautiful Trastevere. First of all the location was really good. It's sort of in the middle of everything and still the Trastevere area has really nice small old town feeling in it. It's easy to get around with tram and bus. And there are a lot of great restaurants. Place was... More

This hotel's location in Trastevere is great. The room we had was comfortable, especially the bed and pillows which were good quality. The shower was powerful. Breakfast was light but plentiful - fruit, yogurt and croissant. And Alessandra, Carolina and Carlo (owner and family) made us feel welcome and were so helpful. Alessandra really made our stay by giving hints... More

I had HUGE expectations about Trastevere Colors after reading all the reviews here. And after 6 days in the B&B, I can say: it's ALL TRUE. And all the amazing reviews are due to one person: Alessandra. She is the best hostess I've ever seen. She makes you feel like home every single day. Every morning, she serves the breakfast... More

Just come back from staying at Trastereve Colours with my mum, I would highly recommend it, Alessandra was so friendly and couldn't do enough for you and her knowledge of the city is amazing and her pointers were so useful, it made our stay more productive, I can't wait to go back and stay there again.

A friend and I stayed for four nights in April and had a very pleasant time. The rooms are simple, elegant, clean and well appointed (good powerful shower, free Internet access & television in the rooms etc). Alexandra is a fantastic host, multilingual (she moved from Italian to French to English as she spoke with her guests), extremely helpful with... More

To echo other reviewers, Trastevere Colors is a great find. We loved the location - convenient, but more a local neighborhood than a tourist area. Alessandra is a fabulous hostess, serving wonderful breakfasts and dispensing invaluable sightseeing recommendations. The room was comfortable and spotless. We would definitely return.

I have been there for a short weekend trip. The b&b is located in a very central area surrounded by typical trattoria, restaurants and bars. Walking distance from the main attractions but in the main time out from the chaotic touristic centre. The lady running the b&b is very helpful and more than happy to help guest with informations and... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
