We found this B&B very comfortable and peaceful. It's away from the main tourist area, in the embassy district, which means it's quiet and you are guaranteed a good night's sleep. There are plenty of great gelato places, bars and restaurants (especially Pizzeria Al Forna della Soffitta just round the corner) in the area. It is a little way from... More

Domus Romantica is located at via belisario, near the bus stop (Piave, Via Belisario), not too far from the Termini (approximately 10 minutes by bus number 38). We arrived a little bit early from our appointment time, so no one was opened the door. But after we made a phone call, Fabrizio (the owner) was immediately came to us. And... More

We arrived in Rome around 7.30pm and had a driver waiting for us at the airport, which the hotel had organised for us - I had emailed them in advance and they arranged for us to be collected (cost €45). We arrived at the hotel and got checked in. The check in consisted of an in depth explanation of the... More

The hotel itself is more of an apartment. It's modern, clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a bit away from the touristy stuff. Which is nice because you don't get everyone trying to sell you stuff when you step out for dinner. You can easily walk to the Coliseum or Vatican, there is that much to... More

This hotel was great. The staff were so welcoming and the room was huge! The only reason I have given 4 and not 5 was it was around a 15 minute walk into the city where all the restaurants and bars were. However! It is near the best gelato shop ever and the nicest pizzas I have ever had too,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Rome. Our room was clean and modern and the hotel was tucked away in a quiet road which was a relief at the end of a busy day packed of sight seeing! We ate breakfast at Cafe Piave round the corner as this was enroute to the train stations to the main... More

We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was very quite and clean. Free wifi. It is close to bus stops that can take you to the Vatican or the colosseum for only €2,50. Walking time is about an hour to colosseum. Vatican is much farther. The Roma Termini train station is only a 10 min walk from the hotel if... More

Lovely B & B in the centre of Rome. Very good position for sight seeing. Only a short walk to many sights, and to the Termini station. The breakfast arrangements are with a couple of local cafes. We liked the Caffe Piave the best, but the other one, which is right next door is fine too. The owners (Claudia and... More

A good place to stay in, nice clean rooms, very cheap mini bar with a bottle of good vine available. The place is located very close to all of the important touristic attractions. Besides all the pros, the place is quite difficult to find and the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours all the time. However the owners... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
