I am so appalled by this experience, I am not quite sure where to start. I booked this accommodation for my husband's 30th Birthday for a four night stay in Rome with two of our friends. Booking.com and trip advisor both displayed beautiful pictures, and the reviews on the whole were fab when I booked back in January, as was... More

The location of the place is just a few steps from Colloseum, walking distance to restaurants and the city center. The rest is just horroble. 1) breakfast - you get it one day in advance, it is a croissant in a plastic bag and a juice 2) we arrived around midnight and were asked to pay €30 for late check... We stayed for 3 nights. The location of this hotel is quite good, it is like 5-10 minutes to walk to Collesseum, the street is quite nice as well. Good WI-FI in the room. Room was quite clean and good. However the water in the shower was quite cold, it seemed it was ending, there were no blankets and the... More

Where do I start. We booked 2 nights from 7th to 9th May in the "Deluxe Spa Suite". Due to a fire the the FCO airport in Rome on the day we were due to arrive, resulting in the international terminal closing, our connecting flight from London to Rome was cancelled. We had an 11 hour wait in Heathrow, before... More

Stayed three nights here and was very happy with the standard of the room and location. The room was very clean and modern, and had inclusive wifi which was consistently strong. Alessandra was very helpful also. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome

Booked at Booking.com where you have to give credit card info to reserve the room. Terms stated we pay in full on arrival, no deposit. We paid in full on arrival with our "international travel" credit card. We got home and found Relais Colosseum 226 had charged us one night on the credit card we used for Booking.com to reserve... This hotel or should I say 'shoebox' was not worth what we paid! The room is clean but to be honest how could it not be with the size as it's so small! My husband and I were literally stepping over each other - no room to hang towels in the bathroom or even put toiletries in the bathroom which... More

The room was relaxing and warm, especially since traveling in November was a little cold. The location is far from the airport, but within a good distance to public transportation. The breakfast in bed: exceptional!

The location is ideal as a location, a few steps from the Colosseo, the Basilica San Clemente and San Giovanni in Leterano. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, typically Italian, served up in the room at the appointment. Unlimited Lavazza coffee and tea. Wi-fi internet access in the rooms. Lift. Transfer from / to airport. Staff was friendly... More

First off the room is quite clean and neat and adequate in every way for a short stay in Rome. Just a short walk from the colosseum and in a quiet street with many options for grabbing a meal. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, he even left a little breakfast on our last night since our flight was... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
