Stayed three nights here and was very happy with the standard of the room and location. The room was very clean and modern, and had inclusive wifi which was consistently strong. Alessandra was very helpful also. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome

Booked at Booking.com where you have to give credit card info to reserve the room. Terms stated we pay in full on arrival, no deposit. We paid in full on arrival with our "international travel" credit card. We got home and found Relais Colosseum 226 had charged us one night on the credit card we used for Booking.com to reserve... This hotel or should I say 'shoebox' was not worth what we paid! The room is clean but to be honest how could it not be with the size as it's so small! My husband and I were literally stepping over each other - no room to hang towels in the bathroom or even put toiletries in the bathroom which... More

The room was relaxing and warm, especially since traveling in November was a little cold. The location is far from the airport, but within a good distance to public transportation. The breakfast in bed: exceptional!

The location is ideal as a location, a few steps from the Colosseo, the Basilica San Clemente and San Giovanni in Leterano. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, typically Italian, served up in the room at the appointment. Unlimited Lavazza coffee and tea. Wi-fi internet access in the rooms. Lift. Transfer from / to airport. Staff was friendly... More

First off the room is quite clean and neat and adequate in every way for a short stay in Rome. Just a short walk from the colosseum and in a quiet street with many options for grabbing a meal. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, he even left a little breakfast on our last night since our flight was... More

Great Location. Walk distance from the colosseum. Plenty of restaurant to choose from in the area. The hotel is inside a quiet residential building. The host was super helpful with finding metros, cab services and how to get around. Highly recommend it.

Very helpful staff, we messed up the bookings and they were glad to assist us. The hotel had so many pros: Colosseum was 10 minutes away, rooms were clean, breakfast was reasonable, super fast internet and unlimited Lavazza coffee. Great experience, will recommend it.

Stayed in the suite with 5 friends for a week. The staff was really helpful and friendly, very good location - Colosseo right at the end of the street - and the metro about 10 minute walk in both directions. Would definitely recommend it.

Straight off the main hub of Colosseum this was the prefect place to crash for a night. Lovely guy greeted us, everything worked and great location. Breakfast though was just bisquets and banana yoghurt. I don't like bisquets...

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
