I was travelling in a group of 7 young men. We were originally going to stay at Rome My Sweet Home Forever, but due to arriving very late (because of a delayed flight) our rooms had been given to someone else. The person in charge of Rome My Sweet Home forever called up his friend at this hotel and arranged... More

My son stayed at this hostel with other students in November. Our credit card was charged a week before their arrival. Then, 1 1/2 months later another charge was processed on our credit card. Four months after the visit ANOTHER charge was processed. There have been $750 USD of fraudulent charges on our credit card from this hostel and we... More

I didn't even go to this hotel, I canceled a booking and a week later I've been charged 169 euro. I went to this place, talked to them, emailed them, called them, still no answer and no money. Stay away from it.

For students this is a bargain! Shared facilities were very clean, rooms reasonable size. Excellent for a short break. Hard to locate but in a great location to be able to get around. Only downside is the fact that there was nowhere to dry towels and they weren't replaced with fresh ones. No safe to put in valuables, we had... More

I became a victim of credit card fraud at the hands of this hotel. They charged my credit card without notifying me, a week before we had agreed I would pay, and then charged me twice. Two weeks later and after countless expensive phone calls to my bank and to the hotel (and its uncooperative and useless manager) as well... More

The location of this hostel is excellent on via Del Corso and close to the the Spanish Steps and Piazza Del Popolo. But the facilities and service was not near what was described at the booking page (venere.com). We booked a "Budget Double Room with Private Bathroom" but it turned out that the private bathroom was in the hallway and... More

Don't go to this B&B unless you are desparate. Apart from its central position on the Via del Corso, almost everything is terrible. It is very noisy as the windows are not double glazed. The rooms are poorly furnished, some without any cupboards or hanging space for clothes. No basins in the rooms. No sink for washing up or for... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
