I stayed there 5 nights with my boyfriend at the end of June. It was very easy to find, 2-3 mins walk from Termini Station, the best of the place is Mose, the host, whom at our arrival gave us a map with all the information you could possibly need about Rome and how to get to the touristic places.... Upon arriving the buzzer didn't work. I stood outside for 15 minutes in the blazing sunshine and over 30 degrees with my luggage until someone came out of the door and would allow me to come in. Hotels and hostels in Italy are mostly floors in apartment blocks, don't expect a stand alone hotel building. Our "double room" was a... More

If you're looking for a convenient location, friendly place near good restaurants and the Termini train station with an old world charm, Paramount via Filippo Turati N68, Rome is the hotel for you. The price is most reasonable. I stayed there for part of May and again in mid-June 2015. The owner, Mohsen, is a bundle of information regarding things... More

The owner was very friendly and made sure that we were comfortable. Our room was nice and spacious and very clean. Excellent location close to many restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great job!

Paramount is a very hospitable guest house located at walking distance of the Termini station. We had a very spacious room located at the corner of the building. During our stay we were welcomed and helped by a very friendly host. Only attention point is the accoustic isolation of the room. During our stay we had a couple of noisy... More

The way how we approached this hotel is like an adventure. The hotel we booked in advance of our trip was actually another one, however, when we arrived there we were told that hotel was full, which was caused by an error in the booking system managed by a third agency. Jesus Christ, after a long argument with anger and... More

the only staff and boss, he explains everything in Rome, and remind you everything you have to notice. and the room is clean and tidy. he says he'll change the window to double glass layer later to avoid the noise from outside. price is good too.

Convenient for termini train station but very difficult to find and location is not in a nice area. Items in our room were also moved around. Staff were difficult to find and not helpful. Overall was very dissapointed and would not recommend.

in termini i think paramount is the best choise. The receptionist who i can not remember his name, is really helpful.. in our first night when we looked for a restaurant we nearly got lost but he saw us and helped us :) the hostel is really clean, silence and well-located. If we go rome again, i am sure we... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
