Manager was late for our check in and it was downhill from then on. The apartment (number 10 ground floor) was dark with faulty electrics. The kitchen equipment was either broken or poor quality. The wifi patchy at best and on our last night the automatic fire alarm kept going off all night - nobody came to turn it off.... More

Stayed here in late August. This room could have bean a 4.5 if not for the stuff around with checking in. Received an email 2 days before stating if arriving after 4pm will be charged a 20 euro late fee. We were also given the wrong address twice, 1 by Expedia and 1 by their website. Do not pay the... Excellent location, quiet and close to the Colosseum at the same time. Nice staff, however they did not speak any English (they spoke Italian and Spanish). First night I spent in a room in a cellar. This one was extremely small with almost no day light and it was quite smelly. The following nights I spent in a room on... More

We stayed here for four nights. The location is superb - very close to the Colosseum and the forum, and within easy walking distance of many of the main sights. Our room was lovely - very large and comfortable, with air conditioning, wifi and a fabulous massaging shower. It even had a fridge and a basic kitchenette so we could... More

Great place to stay near Colloseum. The owner was helpful and very nice, very hands on to help to makesure you get the best of the hotel & services..... room is modern & clean. Very interesting old elevator. But kids are excited with the experience of the old(antique) elevator.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. It is close to Colosseum and "Colosseo" metro station (line B) where you can easily access the essential city districts for sightseeing and shopping. Near the hotel there is "Claudia" bus stop where one can get directly to Vatican by bus number 81. The city district Trastevere can be reached... More

A very warm welcome to a very warm Rome from the young proprietors of the accommodation. Our apartment was accessed via the office so felt very secure: always a nagging doubt when there is an unmanned shared front door. The room was very tastefully decorated with a glimpse out on to a sunlit courtyard – access would have been a... More

My partner had used this accommodation before and recommended I book it. I had mailed ahead as I suspected we might arrive mid evening and am aware that many owners do not live on site. This was not a problem to us, we had a confirming email saying the room would be there for us. However when we arrived it... More

A nice clean hotel. Close to the colosseum. The guys in the hotel were very friendly and very helpful especially when I had to cut short our visit when my husband was taken ill. I can not thank them enough.

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
