Excellent desk service, nice Italian guy, helpful if you are a tourist! Good location, 2 min from Termini station, where I arrived and leaved the city. Also close to museums, both metro lines station (Termini station), surrounded by good and affordable restaurants. Rooms are clean, heat works, hot water (the shower is excellent), good wifi, working tv with many channels... More

We had a good time staying at hotel indipendenza. We have stayed there numerous times and have always had a good time! There is air-conditioning in the rooms and the location is decent...the main hotel is one street away from Termini. Their second hotel is about a 3 minute walk from Rome Termini

This hotel is located very close to Roma Termini and is great if you are travelling by train. There are plenty of restaurants around which is also of great help. There are a bunch of small supermarkets around as well in the Termini station concourse which is an added advantage. The room itself is very spacious and gave a lot... More

We stayed a night in this hotel. It is clean and service is good. The location is quite nice, its located directly downtown which makes it a good place to discover Rome. For the cost it the best option on that area for hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially gentlemens at the front desk.

The hotel was in prime position in Rome, right next to Termini station and a simple underground, bus or even walk to a lot of the attractions. There is a bus from the airport to Termini return for 8 euro. The receptionist was unbelievably helpful as when we checked in he talked to us for about 20 mins about where... More

It's so close to the Rome Termini. The neighborhood is ok, even at night. They let us checked-in earlier because we arrived very early on that day. The hotel is on the 5th floor of the building. What interesting is their lift, it's a vintage oldies like the one in Harry Potter movies. I have myself captured on it.

Central location. Clean room. Staff Fabio is very helpful. Actually you can take a bus that just cost 5 Euro to arrive at Termini and walk to the hotel instead of taking any expensive shuttle. But it'll be better if the new building also has reception and the room has more facilities such as chair and working tables.

The hotel is located on the 5th floor of an old building with an antique elevator that looked so old we used the stairs instead. Unfortunately there was an overwhelming stench of perfume in the room that made our eyes tear so much that we decided to leave. Maybe it was used to cover up even less pleasant smells? Also... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
