I had a problem with the taxi driver & asked the desk clerk to mediate. After driver left, clerk said I really owed driver more money but hotels & taxis are having a dispute so clerk wouldn't help driver! The room was modest size. The bathroom floor was never washed for 3 days, nor was the bath surround wiped down.... more

I started a month long vacation in Rome with my wife. This hotel was nice. The room and bathroom were clean but relatively small. The neighborhood was great and safe but be careful of the strong tourist element that exists on via venetto. Hotel Ludovisi's proximity to many landmarks is another plus. The staff was helpful and nice. Not the... more

We have relocated to Rome, and whilst awaiting our new home to be ready, we stayed at this hotel, my family consisted of my self, my wife and three children ranging from 7 - 14, the staff were great, the porter carried or 8 cases to the rooms, the room are not huge as is the room rate, and we... more

Stayed at the Ludovisi with a Globus tour group. We checked in a day early. The staff was extremely helpful in particular Alesandro. He gave directions to the subway station, and explained how to get around. It was lunch time and he recommended a great local restaurant. The next day it was raining and the staff suggested we got to... more

My husband and I were planning a trip of a lifetime to take my parents to Rome in celebration of my Dad's 80th birthday, followed by a cruise to the Greek Isles. I was told that the hotel was 4 star which I thought would mean it would be above average. All of us were stunned and disappointed when we... more

We just came back from our trek through Rome and it was magnificent. We stayed at Hotel Ludovisi Palace and we were always treated well. The receptionists were great and gave us great advice on where to go. The porter took care of our bags. Always treated with a smile. Morning breakfast was good. Bacon, ham, cheese and eggs were... more

The rooms were small and the hotel is badly in need of refurbisment. There were cracks on the walls of our room...and the bathtub leaked from the bottom. The staff was friendly enough - but they did nothing to help us find another room in the hotel. In fact...we checked out early and went to another hotel. I would not... more

We stayed at the Ludovisi Palace in Rome for three days recently. I had a difficult time finding a hotel that could accomodate a family without booking two rooms, which would have been prohibitively expensive in a central area. The Ludovisi is within easy walking distance of Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens, and Trevi Fountain; a bit more... more

My husband and I stayed at the Ludovisi Palace Hotel from May 26 - May 31 and then again on June 4. The hotel is in a fantastic location; nearly all of the city's main points of interest are within walking distance, including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, Campo di Fiori and Piazza Navonna (these last three... more
