Traveled to this hotel in November 2014 for 4 nights, and it was amazing! Way, way better than I was expecting. The hotel is in a perfect place right in the centre of Rome, we got a room on the 3rd/4th floor (can't remember exactly) but you could see the Colosseum from our room! what a Roman experience to see... We stayed at one of the apartments on via Baccina and loved it. The area is quiet and non-touristy. The apartment was clean and very roomy... Much better than we were expecting. I would certainly stay here again next time I'm in Rome.

This hotel was perfectly situated as far as we were concerned. It was very close to most of the sights but if you were not up to walking very far transport would be required to reach the Vatican area. A local Metro station would also enable you to reach the Vatican and Termini Station which could be walked in around... More

Stayed here recently for four nights. Our first night was spent in the building next-door or annex and we had a number of issues with the room. We reported these and the following day, we were moved into the main hotel. The building shows signs of age but when set against its location this is a price worth playing. Breakfast... More

Thank You for your positive review, this one makes us particularly happy because it follows some issues you encountered with the room on the first night and breakfast just continental. This means we did a "good job", and that's great for us. We're waiting for You again in Rome Yours Hotel Apollo Staff More

Love this little hotel, centrally located with the Coliseum at the end of the street. We have stayed there twice now. The hotel is clean and the family that run it are wonderfully helpful. Highly recommended.

I booked this hotel by using airline miles. Service in the reception and breakfast was exceptionally friendly. Room was big enough and clean. The breakfast served upstairs was disappointing - the quality of the offering was not high. The location is good for tourist to go and see main tourist attractions. You can buy the public transportation ticket in a... More

Walking distance to Colloseum (200m), Hop on Hop off bus and right next to Metro Station. Close to restaurants. Very active young area.Plenty happening, with a number of small supermarkets to stock food for day trips and the likes.

My family of five stayed in this two bedroom apartment. It was great, very good location just 200 metres from the Coliseum and walking distance to most attractions in the ancient city (longer walk to the Vatican). There are many restaurants and a mini supermarket in via Urbana which was great for meals, coffee and snacks. The apartment was really... More

We had a comfortable stay at this well situated hotel. This was near the colosseum and is in a safe residential neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful especially Adriano and Alonso. I spoke to Adriano about our need for a kettle in the room because of our 84 yr old mother who... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
