I stayed at this b&b in January, and had quite a perfect experience. Located in a fun area of Rome with many restaurants and shops nearby. The room and bathroom were very comfortable with stylish furnishings. Great wifi in all the rooms. Its located in a main area but there is no noise from the street. Would highly recommend for... La Residenza is a renewed guest house in the vibrant Trastevere area. We've spent 2 nights there and felt good. The atmosphere is relaxed, Fiorella welcomes you warmly and the place is full of decors and paintings. The rooms are oversized, most overlooking the square, also the bathrooms are clean and spacious. Good quality of sleep, thanks to the new... More

I stayed tree night in the room named Beatrice. The room was fully equipped a tea maker also was available! Fioretta was a perfect host and she gave us many suggestions: restaurants, theatre and attractions. Trastevere district is the perfect place to spend a holiday in Rome, you can walk to any point of interest in the city.

It is not a hotel but a b&b at the 2nd floor of a traditional building next to Casa di Dante. Although it is located at Piazza Sidney Sonnino we did not find it noisy as some other reviewers did. You can hear the traffic but it is not irritating. It depends on your sensitivity level. The room (Pia) was... More

A very pleasant stay. The hotel is perfectly located in Trastevere where there's lots of nice restaurants, and the city center with all of the tourist attractions is a short walk away. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will help you find places to eat or give you information about the city. Remember to have gelato at the... More

Great hotel in the perfect location. If you are planning a trip to Rome and want to be in the center of it all, this is the hotel for you. First: Location- Located just at the tip of Trestavere, across a bridge from the Campo D'Fiori. Almost everything is a short walk, and if not walkable, there is a tram,... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
