The Sandy Hostel is perfect for backpackers, short-term travelers and students. Nice neighbourhood (within 5 min walking distance to Colosseum and Termini station!!!). I was plesantly suprised by the reasonable rates, friendly staff, cleanliness (rooms are quite good) and of course an opportunity to meet new people from all over the globe. Great experiences! If you really want to hang... More

I was staying in Sandy Hostel for one night during my short visit to Rome. I'd say the hostel is located in a perfect area which could be easily reached from Termini and Fori Imperiali/Piazza Venezia. Sandy Hostel is a perfect place to stay in Rome during a short trip. Its offer combines great value with affordability. It's a very... More

The Sandy hostel is central and closed to the main attractives in Rome and train and metro station Termini. It offers everything a guest needs: good bedroom and bathroom, but the difference is the treatment team, which offers good tips and assistance to the experience be the best of Rome.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is simple (there isn't a wardrobe to append the clothes) but clean and there was bathroom inside. There is almost nothing to have breakfast and there are no common area to mesh with other people. It's a very good place to stay for a small number of days. Good balance quality/price.

Great location for all tourist things collesum a short walk away & easy to find from station. Nice clean rooms and comfortable beds, only get on pillow though which I can't sleep with just one. No kitchen but fridge/freezer and microwave so met all of out needs. Lovely staff and flexible with times

The hostel was in a great location with clean rooms. The owner was waiting for us when we got there and had everything ready to go. Very friendly and helpful. Let us keep our bags there for the whole day after we checked out for free. Only downside was the four flights of stairs we had to climb everyday. Otherwise... More

I was so scared as I read all the comments and the feedback from everyone.. BUT this HOSTEL is really great, the rooms and utilities are clean, the location is PERFECT, this was one of the best hostel I've stayed in. The only problem is that if you traveling by yourself and you stay for a quite long time there... More

The hostel location is reasonably close to places you may need such as Termini station, Colosseum and nation street. If you couldn't find it just don't panic , it is just there but in a big apartment there is only one bell on the wall that "Sandy " is written on it. Yes that is sandy hostel. It is on... More

The location of the hostel is the only positive thing about it, it's a short walk from the Colosseum and the metro station. It was on the fourth floor, I usually don't have problems climbing stairs but it was quite the workout taking those every day. The rooms are very basic, there was hair on my bed sheets which wasn't... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
