For no frills pensione- style residence, La Rovere was very comfortable. So, there are not a lot of amenities- no gym, meeting rooms, pool, etc, the location is near so many desirable sights and its proximity to Tastavera and all the nightlife was great as well as nearness to the Tiber for lovely strolls, I recommend this hotel highly. The... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful, they really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The communication on getting room reservations, and directions were easy and smooth. I liked the location; away from the center of the city, yet close enough to walk to the Coliseum - 20 minutes in one direction, and... More

I was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly refurbished 'Designer' rooms for one week. After traveling Europe for several weeks while living out of a suitcase, I was thrilled to settle into this hotel. Trastevere can be a loud place at night, but this hotel is in the northern, quiet section and each night I stayed was... More

Wonderful hotel, really great service. This small hotel is well situated close to almost everything specially the Vatican. The service is like very personalized so they make feel like home. The room was clean and nice, very quiet good for the knight sleep to recover energy and continue next day sight seen. Will definitely stay again if I travel to... More

We chose to stay in this hotel during our visit to Rome mostly because some of its rooms have a nice balcony and we did not regret it. Its is located on a quiet little street near Tevere river and Vaticano (it is in fact in thw part of the city called Trastevere). Although it is not really close to... More

Well located, the hotel is a bit basic, with very nice staff. They were quite helpful with the suitcases and generally speaking, they made you feel welcome. But that was it. The room wasn't too bad by Roman standards, nicely decorated, but rather small. It overlooked the street, and that was no problem since the street can (amazingly) accommodate one... More

We booked one night on short notice in May, and payed 200 e for a superior double room. The room is advertised with pictures of nice view from the windows, so we were a bit surprised and disappointed when we didn't see a thing through our windows as they were smoked glass! So not all rooms are such that you... More

We spent two nights/three days in Rome at this hotel and loved it! The location, very close to the Vatican, could not be better. Our room had a view of the Tiber River and the city. Our room was beautiful! Clean, nicely appointed, and cozy. Actually everything about this hotel was wonderful! The staff was extremely helpful in giving us... More

The hotel has just been renovated which may explain how we were able to book it so shortly before easter. A lovely room with view across the tiber. Spotlessly clean. Friendly, helpful staff. A few minutes walk from the Vatican or across the river to the heart of the city. Altogether a great find!
