Better than expected. Great staff, helpful and available. Good breakfast with meat/cheese, yogurt, pastries. Great coffee/espresso. Fantastic location across from the Tiber River - nice to walk along on the way home after dinner, plus during the summer there are pop-up bars/restaurants along the way and live music. Very fun. 5min to Vatican, 15min to Trastevere, 15min to center to... More

La Rovere Hotel is a family run business and as such you get a more authentic service. Staff is courteous and very present which was the highlight of the stay. Regarding the locatin, it is located on the other side of the river Tiber very close to the Vatican. The front door is located on a very narrow road that... More

The hotel is charming and the rooms nice and clean. The second time we stayed there we had a room with a really great patio. The location is great, minutes from the Vatican. The Tiber is across the street. Trastevere is a great place for dinner and nice walk along the river to get there. Breakfast was very fresh and... More

I stayed at Hotel Rovere for 6 nights as part of an art history teachers' conference. The hotel is tucked away off the main road, which is nice but can be tricky to find. (If taking the 64 bus from Termini, get off at Santo Spirito. Even though della Rovere stop looks closer, few buses stop here!) The lobby of... More

Highlight: Very good breakfast by European standards Location is close to everything - Vatican, Piazza Nuovo, Trastevere all around 10mins walking Hotel is not on a main road, so you might get lost finding it at night Room was small, but internet is good, and room is clean

For no frills pensione- style residence, La Rovere was very comfortable. So, there are not a lot of amenities- no gym, meeting rooms, pool, etc, the location is near so many desirable sights and its proximity to Tastavera and all the nightlife was great as well as nearness to the Tiber for lovely strolls, I recommend this hotel highly. The... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful, they really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The communication on getting room reservations, and directions were easy and smooth. I liked the location; away from the center of the city, yet close enough to walk to the Coliseum - 20 minutes in one direction, and... More

I was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly refurbished 'Designer' rooms for one week. After traveling Europe for several weeks while living out of a suitcase, I was thrilled to settle into this hotel. Trastevere can be a loud place at night, but this hotel is in the northern, quiet section and each night I stayed was... More
