Wow, what an amazing little hotel! I cannot wait to go back! We absolutely LOVED our stay here and will certainly stay here again for our next visit to Rome. The location is wonderful. Some of the best little cafes in Rome are located right in this old neighborhood of narrow cobblestone lanes, charming tile-roofed buildings and quaint shops. Wonderful... More

I would confirm all of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We are just back from 3 nights and it was all we could have hoped for. As many reviewers have said, it is a genuine oasis of calm in the madness of Rome. Very, very friendly staff, lovely breakfast, great happy hour (but the snacks will spoil your dinner, be... More

A fantastic hotel in the back lanes of the trastevere district. A little green oasis where there are orange and lemon trees growing . The rooms were spotless as was the bathroom. The water was hot and plentiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There is a little breakfast room where the breakfast was lovely . They had hot... More

Booked this on the strength of earlier reviews and wasn't disappointed. Hotel is well located, spotlessly clean and immaculately kept. Staff all welcoming, friendly and helpful. All main sites in Rome are within easy walking distance and all the streets, lanes and squares around the hotel buzz with local life and offer a good choice of places to eat and... More

Lovely setting and ideal for the main sites. Spoilt for choice with places to eat. Again, all within a 300 mtre radius from the hotel. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Excellent choice of breakfast. Waiting staff first class.

Very nice Hotel centrally located in Trastevere. Nice rooms and outer areas of Hotel. To have only 21 rooms in such a large area must be unique in Rome. Staff very friendly and service minded. Breakfast good for italian hotel. Only negative was that only heating and not aircon was working in March, strangely the room became quite warm at... More

This hotel is simply perfect, I had a nice, comfortable, very clean and quiet room. I appreciated the large bathroom with a good size shower. The staff are so nice and helpful. Lots of good restaurants around. I highly recommend it.

A beautiful little hotel in the heart of Trastevere. An oasis of calm to return to after a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel is quite unique and offers exceptional facilities for a very reasonable price. The rooms surround the courtyard and offer a tv with CNN and BBC world news, slippers, tea & coffee making facilities, a mini bar... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
