Augusta was a nice surprise. A lot of people complaining about the wifi. Well i have to say that the wifi was perfect. Large rooms and clean bathroom. We had a room on the streetside where the daily market is but no noise or anything early in the morning. The breakfast was good and the staff was very helpfull.Location at... More

I can absolutely recommend this family owned hotel close to the railway station! What a great greating though we arrived in the middle of the night due to delayed flight. Very good customer service. Really nice rooms, clean and great interior. The brekfast was good, a little to sweet for my taste but good. Overall a very nice hotel, good... More

The start of our honeymoon experience. The hotel was charming, yet outdated. It was clean and tidy. This is the most important thing. Breakfast was simple yet adequate. Well positioned, only few blocks from the central station made it easy to get around.

Great small hotel at a great price. Well run and importantly very friendly. I competed in the Granfondo Roma , a large cycling race and the team in the hotel were very accommodating, even allowing me to build my bike in a vacant dining area. The room was clean and everything worked well. Not first rate with limited aspect but... More

This place for the money is incredible, old style Italian place so don't expect modern decor. The rooms are clean and a very good size with aircon. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and very helpful he also spoke fluent English. Very close to the termini train station and very central to most attractions. Breakfast was basic... Stayed here for 5 nights in a family trip to Rome with my husband and 4 month old baby. Initially I wasn't sure where to stay in Rome because everything seemed extremely expensive! I took a chance on this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and I was extremely satisfied. A few blocks from termini, we took the metro everywhere. The... More

We found the hotel a real value for money gem. It was clean, safe, comfortable and had good facilities. Breakfasts excelled, with friendly staff that provided first class service. Its location could not be better, located near Rome's main transport hub. Importantly, it enabled us to have easy access by public transport to both Airport and Port as well as... More

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and it was very nice, location is good, 8 minutes walk from Termini station. The closeness of station did not bother us, because most of the streets are really quiet. The room we had was tiny and we had problem to place our two suitcases. After reading many reviews about the market in... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
