Me and my wife are very surprised to see all the positive reviews on Contilia. We had the worst possible experience here. We booked two days from an online website in the US. We arrived at the hotel and soon after, my wife didn't feel safe in the neighborhood. That termini area is somewhat shady. The room was in a... more

This is a great hotel only a couple of short blocks from Termini. I stayed 2 nights and my room was spotless. The front desk people were wonderful and offered nice restaurant suggestions nearby. The breakfast selection was above average with good food. All was wonderful here and I would return again. Although this was close to the station my... more

A really nice hotel, don´t know if I just had luck to get that nice room I got. But is hard to understand that this nice hotel only have 3 stars. If you look at it overall-then yes I can see why the hotel only has 3 stars. They don´t have laundry services (but there is several around the hotel),... more

The Hotel Contilia has an excellant location 2 blocks from the Rome Termini train station. The room was wallpapered in damask. The room was spotlessly clean, large and comfortable. Continenal breakfast was good with croissants, juice, cereal, coffee and more. I felt safe in the area which has greatly improved in the last several years. Being two blocks from the... more

This is a great hotel and reasonably priced. it is a good location, walkable to sights and the train station. The rooms are newly renovated and quite spacious for the area. Ask for room 301, it's a suite, with a jacuzzi and double sinks. The front staff is kind, courteous, helpful. Breakfast is quite good, cereals, pastries, meats, cheese, coffee,... more

Booked via Priceline and was given this hotel . Prepaid in USD which helped quite a bit since the dollar is so low to the Euro. We paid $102 usd per night for a 3 night stay( including tax and fees). What a bargain compared to what others were charging. We were surprised how much we liked this place. Given... more

Pro: very convenient to the train station for a early departure. Con: Room #514 was NOT as pictured on the web page. I booked 2 other rooms for accompaning travelers that were as pictured, #602 &301. However one was a suite and one other was a room as pictured. We ALL paid the same amount for 3 totally different rooms.... more

We were very happy with this hotel. We paid a little extra for a "superior" room and, considering that this is a downtown hotel, we felt that it was a good value. Our accomodations were clean and very satisfactory. Thankfully, it has an elevator. Location was convenient to the rail station, good restaurants, shops and all the sights. The staff... more

We stayed at the Hotel Contilia in Rome May 24th - 28th and had a fantastic experience due to its perfect location for everything a tourist could want. Our British friends had tipped us about this hotel when they attended a Rugy match the preceding February and we were not disappointed. The halls and bathrooms were all marble, the front... more
