The hotel is located exactly where you need to be in Rome, moments from the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and a host of other sites too many to mention. For those with a little stamina the Vatican and Colosseum are about 20 - 30 min but you get to see some great stuff on the way. The hotel staff are... More

Hotel Madrid was perfect! After a train ride from Naples and a long walk from the station, we were kindly greeted by the consierge Luciano. It was as though he was waiting for us! Our room was clean, fresh, and well supplied. The complimentary breakfast served on the beautiful rooftop garden patio was delicious. Mira kindly made us incredible cappuccinos,... More

This was the last leg of our trip to Italia; what a prefect way to say good bye to family and friends we visited along the way. Luciani, Antonio, and Marc welcomed us warmly. Overall we had a good stay. Booked specifically for the family room with single beds for teens and that worked out great. When windows were closed no street noise, well insulated, when open was loud. We spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel and found the staff to be warm, friendly and very helpful. The room was larger than we expected with a generous bathroom. The terrace was a real feature with the breakfast staff providing excellent service. We will return to this little gem!!!!!!

The hotel is easily accessible and in a great location between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, on the east side of Via de Corso. Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
