Quite possibly the best location for staying in Rome, especially first timers who want to see all the sites. The airport Sitbus stopped right outside the property, and we received a warm welcome in fluent English and French. Our host provided us with a map and also marked out the bus routes for us which was just what we needed.... More

I went to rome last week and my experience in marta's place was excelent. Everybody there made us feel like if we were in our house. The rooms were very warm and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. I insist: you wont find a better location and best relation price-quality.

It's nothing fancy but the staff were so helpful and this place worked out perfectly for us, especially for the price. I liked staying a little out of the center of all the touristy things but still able to walk across the Ponte Sant'Angelo into the city center and close to a bus stop. It was a nice quiet and... The room was small and hardly got any light. The bathroom was also very small and the sink was so small that you couldn't even wash your hands. I asked for a different room, which turned out to be smaller and just as dark and the mattress was really thin and uncomfortable. Thankfully, the bathroom (and especially the sink) was... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We picked it because we decided to split up our 4 nights in Rome -- 2 nights at a budget hotel near the Vatican and 2 nights at a nice B&B in the city center -- and this was our budget pick. I was expecting much less than what we got. We arrived... More

The guest house was in a great location by Piazza Cavour, all the main sites were within easy walking distance and there is a bus stop around the corner to the airport. The room was a good size and very clean with lovely cotton sheets on the bed and a really comfortable mattress. The fridge in the room had a... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
