Clean and secure accomodation in Rome. Price was reasonable and it is only a few blocks from the train station. The owners were nice. They have an excellent internet setup that is very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. I would recommend this place, as far as hostels go it is quite nice.

I almost hate to rave about the place lest they become too popular and difficult to book in the future. After doing a two week 'budget' trip to Rome and England, this hotel was the star of the trip. Our Quad room was clean and freshened each day. It had a large window that opened onto a quiet street. The... More

My wife and I read a lot of hotel reviews before we booked our accommodations in Europe. From among the hotels, Papa Germano rates the highest. Although the room is not as spacious, it was mighty clean with fresh linen and fluffy towels. The owner is very hospitable. He supervises the dining room during breakfast and ensures that everyone gets a... More

If you are going to Rome to experience the cultural and immerse yourself in the city, Papa Germano is the first step! We needed a room for two adults and two teen children that would not cost us $400.00 per night and this was the ticket! What an excellent choice! With a local market outside the hotel entrance every morning... More

Very pleasant owners who speak English. We had a dorm room which was fine, some have a fan as well. Nice and clean, located close to Termini station (but this isn't the nicest area in Rome). Only one problem- they tend to move people during their stay, so you get all cosy in one room and then they moved us... More

Good value for money! Breakfast is included, and it is an excellent breakfast. Staff all speak English and are helpful. Well kept and clean. Right by the Termini station; easy to find and within walking distance of everything you need. Only con: the stairs. Our room was on the top floor, and trust me, it is a hike up. By... More

Four of us shared a quad room and it was very nice - clean and safe, quiet, decent beds, spotless bathrooms, good continental breakfast. Internet was cheap, staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, only a 5 min walk from termini station. Price was much cheaper than other hotels in area for 4 people. Overall we were very happy!!

Papa Germano, to be fair is a get-what-you-pay-for situation. (Which is interesting since Rome is already a little on the expensive side). It is for the economical and budegt-minded traveler. It's INCREDIBLY dark on the 3rd floor. The beds are clean and the bathrooms are decent, minus the shower that malfunctioned on me. However, otherwise it was decent. The staff... More

I just got back from a trip to Rome, and highly recommend this hotel/hostel. I stayed in a double room, with shared bathroom. The hotel is very conveniently located near Termini Station, in an area with many other hotels, shops and restaurants. It's an easy walk to all the main sights of Rome. The staff were always very helpful, friendly... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room, a 4 person dorm, was clean and quiet and on the fifth floor (no lift). There are no lockers or telephone or television in the room I stayed in. The other guests were a mellow and nice bunch, not rowdy party goers. The shared bathroom was clean and there was a small... More
