The hostel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were small but we weren't in them except for sleeping so it wasn't a big deal. There are some extra charges that you should be aware of. Breakfast cost 5 euros each morning and you have to make sure you tell them the night before. Air Conditioning costs... More

The location is great, convenient. It's a very clean hotel. NO PARTY HOTEL. The breakfast was not incluyed. It has 3 computers, that was very helpfull for me. The room was modern, with air conditioning, tv. Good wifi. The receptionist gave us a map and explained EVERY interest point of the city. I really enjoyed this hotel.

Great location, right in central Rome, all the major sites are between here and Vatican City, and are well within walking distance. Clean and tidy enough, with polite staff from what I've seen so far. The hostel is also only a short walk from the Roma Termini train station.

The hostel was clean and tidy! Francesca at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I haven't put excellent was the bad internet in my room. The room had air conditioner which was really good for summer in Rome. I would recommend this hostel for sure!

Very convenient location close to Termini, spotlessly clean and probably the quietest hotel we had stayed in a while, great for a good night's sleep. Breakfast has good variety and is plentiful. Staff is generally helpful when requested but can be uptight in trying to control guest behavior. There are numerous stickers warning guests not to do this and that... More

Not a party hostel, but a clean and quite place to stay for your visit to Rome. I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2015, in a 4 bed mixed dorm. The rooms were neat and clean, and staff was very helpful and friendly. These are apartments spread across 2-3 floors, with about 4-5 rooms of varying occupancy in... More

Papa Germano - very clean and good location. Staff is friendly, but many don't speak very good English (you can still get by though). Downside is that there were only two one-person bathrooms for a floor of 12 people, there were no lockers, needed pay for air conditioning, and slow WiFi.

experience: very nice staff: very friendly and helpful room: perfectly clean and cozy. The interior was completely up to date. Only the wifi connection wasn't working sometimes; router needed to be restarted for the connection to be OK.

I've stayed here twice 1. When I stayed in January, first thing to mention is the girl on the reception. Few times I have found someone so helpful, that knows so many languages and always smiling. I was using the wifi at the reception for a while so I noticed she was like that with ALL the customers even for... More

I recently stayed in a dorm room (4 bed) for two nights. The staff at the hotel were amazing and so happy to help whenever needed. Really clean! Would definitely stay here again when I return to Rome. Five minute walk from main train station in Rome... Two stops from colosseum...four stops from Spanish steps. Very happy!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
