Don't be put off by the street that this hotel is located on: the welcome was warm and the hotel very clean and stylish. Breakfast was excellent. Our room, which we had been unable to upgrade, was located at the front and wasn't very big. The shower room, although also small, had a very efficient and silent extraction system. The... More

We are so glad to have found this charming little hotel. We stayed in a room on the top floor with a large balcony over looking Rome, spectacular view of St. Peter's Basilica! Hotel is located on a quiet street but close to restaurants and shops, very convenient, very clean, bed is comfortable. Staff was courteous especially Laura! We enjoyed... More

Our family of six stayed in three rooms here for four nights and were very pleased all around. The desk staff went out of their way to provide great service and recommendations. Very conveniently located on a narrow street at the top of a hill. Walk to bus/train. Clean! The courtyard is a nice place to relax with a drink... More

Super quirky hotel in the centre of Rome. Worth paying more for a superior room. Lovely courtyard garden & our room had a super balcony overlooking Rome. Clean & spacious room beautifully furnished. Only critism was the evening meal. Met old friends, who live in Rome for this meal, so disappointing! For us & them. Worth taking the hotels advice... More

Hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. They helped with directions, restaurants, transfer services. When they heard a person in our party was celebrating a birthday they sent a bottle of prossecco to our table. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Prices were reasonable and location was ideal ..close to metra, borghese, walking distance... More

We stayed at this charming hotel for three nights at the end of May. The hotel was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and the Modigliani themed artistic touches along with the owners black and white photos were a perfect complement. We can't praise the staff enough for their conscientious response to our every request. They truly make you feel special. The... More

We had one night in Rome before departing on a cruise and choose the Hotel Modigliani because of high marks on TripAdvisor and also by Rick Steves. It was a great decision! The staff was outstanding and the location was very good. We loved the courtyard and the breakfast. The room was very nice and fully functional. Yes, the shower... More

A well located small hotel near the centre of Rome tucked away up a quiet cobbled street just off the busy Piazza Barberini. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Helping us with the cases on arrival, as there are a few steps down from the street into the reception, and promptly got us a taxi when we left. The... More

This is such a cute enchanting hotel hidden away in an alley. It is simple and quaint but yet charming and luxurious. The rooms are a good size, not too small, comfortable with all amenities needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. The location was easy to walk to everything especially easy to walk... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
