Great little hotel tucked away near by the Spanish steps. Staff are lovely, only reason I would mark it down would be the thin walls and the amount of noise you hear that disrupted my sleep. Not from the outside but from the other guest in the hotel. Breakfast was nice with cold meats and bread, coffee also great.

Much depends on what you want or like, but for me the Hotel Modigliani was perfect. I don't care for fancy and fussy, and the Modigliani was neither. My room was just right, and looked on a little garden where folks could sit. I imagine that in warm weather it might be busy and therefore intrusive for the occupant, but... More

We stayed for four night at Hotel Modigliani in mid-March. The location is perfect--hidden up a small street away from the bustle, but just a few blocks from Piazza Barberini, where you can find a Metro stop and a lively restaurant and bar scene. The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful, making us dinner reservations, serving our drinks in... More

This hotel is small and is situated in a lovely part of Rome. Not far from the Villa Borghese, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and close to the Via Veneto. The staff were excellent and helped us organise our visit to the Villa Borghese which has restricted access. The room was small but so well designed and comfortable. The shower... More

Three of us stayed here last week. We rented the two bedroom garden apartment and loved it. The garden setting was peaceful and lovely. The staff members at the hotel were all warm and helpful--both before and during our stay. All in all--perfect!!

On a 15 day excursion through Italy, Rome was the last stop of our trip. We chose Hotel Modigliani for several reasons. We liked the location, price, and positive reviews. Tucked off the beaten path, this compact hotel offered all the services we were looking for- close to a metro station (Berberini ) set off from the maddening crowds, but... More

A lovely hotel in a great location in the centre of Rome. Close to good restaurants and tourist attractions. Great customer service at the hotel and a great price. Room is compact but this should be expected in the narrow streets in Rome. Very enjoyable stay.

I found this hotel quite randomly, through an internet search, but i was not disappointed. Quite the contrary, this hotel was very convenient to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, which are stops on many of the bus tours, the rooms were clean and the hotel was well maintained. The service however, was easily the best i've ever had... More

Excellent location. Clean. Nice breakfast patio that is surround by buildings, but still manages to get some welcome sunlight. Great views from the room. Close to many attractions, i.e. Piazza di Spagna and shopping on via dei Condotti. We walked from the (Rome) train station in about half an hour, but I don't recommend that with bags. A little bit... This is an okay hotel in a great location. The reception staff were always polite and helpful. Breakfast was okay - usual continental fare and in addition some hot items (eggs, potatoes and sausage or bacon). The rooms are okay, clean, but with tiny closet space and no drawers, and the walls were very thin. You need ear plugs to... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
