This was our 4th stay in this lovely boutique hotel, walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It is located on a quiet street, which is off a busy piazza, across from the Metro. The location is terrific. Plenty of shopping and quaint restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is lovely. The outdoor garden is... More

Lovely small hotel in Rome Italy within walking distance to many of the places. Pick up at airport available. Speak English. Clean and friendly. This will stay in your memory for years to come. Bring your camera to capture the quaintness of this special place.

We saw a tiny paragraph in travel section of Daily a Mail recently recommending this hotel. Decided to book and were not disappointed. It's a small but perfect little hotel. Close to Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. Room was a nice size with ensuite. Breakfast was good. Just a great location and great staff. Would highly recommend it.

This hotel is in an ideal location just 5 minutes walk from the top of the Spanish Stairs. The staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to see and where to eat. Rooms are quite small but are spotless, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is adequate. Air conditioning is very effective.

This is an extremely well located hotel near Barberini, the Spanish Steps ... It has many great restaurants nearby ... in the same street and just round the corner. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and very easy to talk with. They are most helpful. Thanks to Francesco, Nicola, Andrea (1 & 2), Laura, Elena, Christina & Tanya. Your service was... More

We recently returned to the Hotel Modigliani, after staying here in 2005. Ten years later, it was just as comfortable and friendly as we remembered it. Plus it had undergone considerable renovation, upgrading the rooms and adding a restaurant. It is not fancy, but emphasis is on personal service, which was and is, outstanding. The location could not be better.... More

Couldn't be better, great room, friendly staff without exception, helpful, perfect location for all sightseeing. We were able to walk to everything which was a bonus as you discover more and more piazzas along the way. Self service breakfast with good coffee. Would not hesitate to recommend if asked.

Great little hotel tucked away near by the Spanish steps. Staff are lovely, only reason I would mark it down would be the thin walls and the amount of noise you hear that disrupted my sleep. Not from the outside but from the other guest in the hotel. Breakfast was nice with cold meats and bread, coffee also great.

Much depends on what you want or like, but for me the Hotel Modigliani was perfect. I don't care for fancy and fussy, and the Modigliani was neither. My room was just right, and looked on a little garden where folks could sit. I imagine that in warm weather it might be busy and therefore intrusive for the occupant, but... More

We stayed for four night at Hotel Modigliani in mid-March. The location is perfect--hidden up a small street away from the bustle, but just a few blocks from Piazza Barberini, where you can find a Metro stop and a lively restaurant and bar scene. The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful, making us dinner reservations, serving our drinks in... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
