Great hotel! Located in old Rome, close to many attractions! Everyone in the hotel is very polite and make ourselves very comfortable. Very clean, good wifi, good breakfast. I definitely suggest this hotel!

This Hotel came at the recommendation of friends who knew Rome well. Travelling with two young teenage girls we again wanted to be close to the centre of things as in their eyes shopping wasn't going to take second place to all those old statues and buildings. The hotel was perfect in terms of location. We walked to every major... More

The room was clean and a good size for two people. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was great. The location is perfect for walking to every major site in the city and also has easy access to the metro. The climate system was great and highly necessary on the warm days. In their newsletter... Hotel Modigliani is a great home-base for exploring Rome. It is located on a quiet street in a terrific location - a few blocks in different directions from the Spanish Steps, the Villa Borghese Gardens, and the Trevi Fountain. A little farther are the Pantheon and the Vatican, to which we walked from the hotel one morning (down the Spanish... More

Stayed at the HM again this year in late June for four nights. Lots of the same friendly staff from my many previous visits 2010-2014. In room 502 which is on the back and has a small balcony looking towards the Emmanuel Monument and the Presidential Palace. Very quiet as usual. Changes: 1) Free Wi-Fi in the rooms as well... More

I have given this a 5 star rating, primarily because of the way it fit our budget and our family size so well. My wife and I had a large room with deck and view on the 6th floor. It slept 5, but we had it to ourselves and the rest of the family had 3 other rooms which were... More

This hotel is in a great spot, our room was sweet and quiet, overlooking the courtyard. The staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and we were close to many landmarks and shopping. A great place to stay on Rome.

We recently stayed at the Modigliani; location is very good and the price charged is fair. The staff are very helpful and make an effort to make you feel welcome. Rooms were on the smaller size, but have everything you need and are very comfortable. Breakfast is nice and food in the evenings is not bad. The email confirmation stated... More

Nice, simple, basic family run 3 star hotel. Staff were very nice. Room was very basic and small but for one night did not need much more. Breakfast was very good. Not sure I would stay there for an extended stay as we prefer rooms a little more comfortable with more comfortable beds and larger bathrooms. If you are looking... More

We were a party of 5 plus a baby and we had a whole floor to ourselves. The staff did everything they could do help us with whatever we needed and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was very central and there were several attractions we could walk to easily, as well as a range of nice shops... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
