A great little hotel which was clean, reasonably priced and had friendly and helpful staff. We found the Modigliani to be convenient and well placed in Rome and in a nice quiet area. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and food, great for filling up before a long day of Rome sightseeing. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again... More

Stayed in the hotel for 2 days. Pros: very clean, great location, friendly staff. Cons: had to prepay the whole amount upon arrival (1st time I experienced this in the world), uphill a bit from piazza Barberini, a bit overpriced. I would recommend it because of the location

It was our first (and hopefully not last) stay in Rome. We came to the Eternal City to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the luxurious suite on the top floor with breath-taking view over Rome (Room 602). It was amazing! We really appreciate such generous gesture. The hotel is elegantly and tastefully decorated, exactly... More

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal for exploring Rome. It offers great value for money and comes highly recommended. The room was comfortable and spacious enough. Buffet was lovely if slightly limited.

We felt very welcomed by the staff, the were always friendly and helpful. Room was in the back, very quiet, the doublebed comfortable, shower / bathroom clean and tidy.. only thing we didnt like was the breakfast (not many choices, coffee tasted horrible), outside are much better options. Awesome location, you can walk everywere - main train station, vatican, forum... More

Well done to the Daily Telegraph UK for recommending this hotel in their travel section. Clean, comfortable room with balcony and cheerful and very helpful staff and so convenient for all the main "must see" sights. The Metro for travel to the Vatican and the Colosseum is minutes away and all other sights are within 10-15 minutes walk. Definitely worth... More

This was our first trip to Rome, and we were very lucky to find this cute hotel, it was very quiet for somewhere in the centre of Rome, we had a standard room, as we were going to be out all day we didn't see the need to book anything else, it was very clean and had everything we needed!... More

My wife and I recently spent 6 days in Rome staying at the HOTEL MODIGLIANI. The hotel is centrally located, a brief walk from the convenient Piazza Barberini. The staff at the hotel was professional, knowledgeable and ever so helpful. The atmosphere was continental. Our comfortable and well appointed room was on the top floor on the courtyard side, thus... Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
