We didn't know about the scaffolding either before we booked but that's not the hotel's fault. Room was small but had everything. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the location is great. If the size if the lift door is an issue for you, you need to lose weight. It's fine. Normal size people fit perfectly.

Very good location but I paid for a room with a view of the trevi fountain and all I got was a view of scaffolding around the trevi (undergoing restoration atm). Had I known this at time of booking I wouldn't have paid extra. If I'd known this I would have stayed elsewhere. The hotel needs to invest in some... More

This is my second visit to this hotel. Rooms are small but redecorated in good way. However, our room was separated from another one by a door only! You can hear people there and I’m sure they can hear us too. The area is more than wonderful. But it’s crowded and my phone was stolen in this area too. I... More

We thought this would be a good location for sightseeing base, but we were wrong. Staff were rude, location was very noisy especially early in the AM when local merchants loaded last night's empty bottles into trash right outside our alley front windows. Leaving the hotel, you enter a sea of noisy tourists day or night, together with pickpockets and... More

From the outside and the narrow little reception area we had no idea what lay ahead. Our room although tiny (we struggled to find somewhere to put our suitcase without tripping over it) the view however completely made up for this, we we overlooking the Trevi Fountain. The bed although small was very comfy. The bathroom again very tiny didn't... More

We chose this hotel because of the location which is great. The main reason we booked was to overlook the Trevi fountain which is covered in scaffolding due to repairs. Although this is not the fault of the hotel I feel that we would have booked elsewhere if we had known the extent of the work being done. The hotel... More

We stayed at this hotel on our very first trip to Rome and the location was so perfect that we fell in love with Rome from the first moment our taxi dropped us near the fountain on a sweltering day in July 2006. We've been to Rome 9 further times since, and have loved every place we've chosen to stay... More

After booking the hotel for a long weekend and finding that the Trevi was undergoing some restoration we considered changing the booking but decided not to in the end and are very glad we didn't. We did email ahead as I had seen some reviews relating to issues with bathrooms and being a big chap I wanted to make sure... More

Me and my two sisters took our Mum to the Fontana Hotel to celebrate her 85th birthday. This hotel is in an excellent position for seeing lots of attractions and just a stones throw from the Trevi Fountain, unfortunately the Trevi is closed until next summer. The staff at the hotel are really nice and helpful, they even offered to... More

I had seen this hotel on a previous visit to Rome & decided I'd like to stay there. The last hotel I'd stayed in was beautiful & modern, so this olde worlde hotel was a complete change & I loved it! It's in an ideal situation being directly in front of the Trevi Fountain. Our room was on the front,... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
