This hotel is absolutely amazing! Not only is it very centrally located (across from the Fontana de Trevi) but it has a very rich history. The hotel was originally a monastery and no two rooms are alike. When we arrived we were greeted by Isaac who has been working at the hotel for over 25 years. He could not be... More

Information given by the receptionist who answers the phone at the hotel, as to paying by credit card and cancelling a reservation is in contradiction with the terms of the reservation formula. This leads to problems, unconvincing anrguments and finally payment, in my case of one night, when I cancelled the reservation.

This was my second time to stay in this quaint hotel that was built as a 13th century monastery and converted into a hotel in the 1700's. The rooms are small, but clean. It is right in front of the Trevi Fountain, so it can be a bit noisy at night. Be sure to request a room overlooking the fountain,... More

My Family and I spent 4 days in Rome before leaving on a cruise in July. I had never been to Rome before so I researched the best locations to stay. There were 10 people with an age range of 15 to 68 years old. I booked 5 rooms at Hotel Fontana in early January after researching the best area... More

Ok we booked online based upon the photos and the room looked nothing like the photos. First the photos of the type of room we booked showed a showed and bath tub. There was only a shower, no enclosure just a flimsy curtain and the shower was barely big enough for one. No matter how carefully you showered, the floor... More

I have been to Rome a number of times and each time we go obviously we visit the Trevi Fountain and I have always found this little hotel in the corner of the piazza absolutely emblamatic of any old movie about Rome. We booked a room overlooking the fountain for our wedding anniversary and although the hotel itself is a... More

Great hotel in an extremely convenient location. I will admit that it was my first visit to Italy and the hustle bustle of central Rome, particularly the swarms of tourists congregating to see Trevi Fountain, caught me off guard following 24hour journey from Sydney. This hotel was a peaceful and surprisingly quiet little haven in a beautiful city. As I... More

The restoration of the fountain was interesting to watch and I think the completion is getting close. The location of the hotel is great and it was a great spot for "people watching". The double glazed windows didn't shut out all the noise - I suspect that the windows need seals fitting. The air-conditioning was good when used with a... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
