Both my boyfriend and myself loved this hotel. Its very glamorous and all the curtains and drapes match the decor perfectly. Our room was a little on the small side and the bathroom was literally just a cupboard with a shower. But.. thats all we needed it for so we were happy enough. The room was air conditioned but unfortunately... More

The hotel is in an excellent location, 2 minute walk from the Colosseum. Within walking distance to all major sites, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, etc. Location is quiet, lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel is immaculate, the rooms are clean. Our room had a patio which was very nice. "Roberto" made sure everything was perfect. Arranged for taxis when... More

This hotel is in a good location right by the Coliseum and the people who operate it are as friendly and helpful as could be. The location is also very quiet. The breakfast, which is included, was quite good too. The rooms, however, need updating. The shower was beyond small, the beds were hard, the rugs worn and I can't... More

Everything was great. Good bed, clean bathroom. Our room had a little private patio that we didn't use but was nice. Air conditioning (that we didn't have control of) was about right for the heat of Rome. 1 1/2 blocks to Coloseum and Forum. On a safe street. The Celio serves a very nice breakfast. Sort of an upscale continental... More

This place is clean and relatively easy to find. However, the staff was short and would not accept an immediate refund/cancellation which put a group of us in a bind to reserve an additional room. Just wasn't impressed with the staffs unwillingness to help us out.

We stayed at this hotel over the past weekend and enjoyed it. If you are looking for a great location - you have found it - it is about 2 blocks from the Colosseum and The Palatine Hills. We also walked to the Vatican, it took about an hour but it was worth it to see the local sites/restaurants. It... More

We found Celio Hotel three years ago online - I no longer remember how. We've been there now three times, and we are very happy. This year, we were due to go to Florence right after our flight from the States. I was not feeling very well, and the thought of traveling by train with all our luggage was not... More

This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and don't recognised it from some of the bad reviews. The location is wonderful - very close to the Colosseum and forum, and just round the corner from a metro station. There are also some good restaurants nearby (although you will pay a premium for the ones opposite the... More

Prior to staying at Celio, I had a number of email conversations with Roberto who was an extremely helpful host prior to and during my delegations stay in Rome. The room was cozy , not to large but not to small either - my one complaint was the size of the bathroom. Breakfast was simply a croissant, mini baugette, yogurt,... More
