Prior to staying at Celio, I had a number of email conversations with Roberto who was an extremely helpful host prior to and during my delegations stay in Rome. The room was cozy , not to large but not to small either - my one complaint was the size of the bathroom. Breakfast was simply a croissant, mini baugette, yogurt,... More

Terrific location. Clean, attractive, very comfortable rooms. Terrific room service. Courteous, helpful staff. There's a lovely courtyard in the middle where a nice breakfast is served in the morning by really nice waiters. It's right by the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill among *many* other incredible sight-seeing destinations. It's also by "gay street" if that's your thing... More

Really beautiful hotel in the perfect location! A short walk to top tourist attractions. Great prices too. Would totally recommend to family and friends. Absolutely stunning design inside! It was the perfect city break away!

Fantastic hotel. Beautiful decor. Staff very friendly quintessential italian hotel. Will only stay here whilst in Rome 10 out of 10 on every front. Two mins from the Collusium, air conditioned rooms at no extra cost. Just amazing.

Having recently stayed at this hotel I found a charge on my credit card a few days later that was unauthorised. In contacting the owner I have had no reply so I've handed the matter over to my card company as fraud. Be very careful with this hotel it's definitely shady and not to be trusted.

The owner or/and manager of the Hotel Celio, Roberto is wonderful. So helpful. He went out of his way to help us with tour planning and taxis. I cannot say enough about the hotel. Great location next to colosseum and lots of restaurants near by also a market directly across the street. Bus and train station around the corner. Great... More

Four of us just spent 5 nights at the Celio Hotel and were delighted. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the location is very close to the Colosseum and the staff very helpful and pleasant. Good restaurants in the area, particularly the one just over the road.

Just back from 3 night stay. This is a lovely hotel, great decor and nice atmosphere. Only slight negatives are the bathrooms are a bit small and the showers are a very tight squeeze. Breakfast is fine, nothing too exciting but more than adequate. The really comfortable bed, good size room, lovely staff and GREAT location mean when next I'm... More

Roberto and the Celio hotel saved our vacation in Rome! We checked in the Celio after a desperate search for a new hotel when the place we booked was horrific (Ares Rooms-AVOID). Not only was the hotel great, but Roberto helped us with finding reservations, planning our itinerary, and every other request we had. I highly recommend the hotel.

I have just came back from a weekedn in Rome and stayed in this lovely hotel. The guy on the reception was really nice and very helpful. The location is fanstastic and it is literally only a 2 minute walk from the colosseum. The only downside have is the bar in the hotel isn't great. Would definately stay here again... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
