We stayed five nights in two adjacent rooms in Nov 2014. Our rooms were tastefully decorated. The bathroom doors are innovative having life size prints of sculptures; doubling up as a beautiful art displays. One of our rooms had a balcony, with two beautiful sculptures, facing Via Torino and it was enjoyable for me to watch people walkby in the... More

We stayed here in Dec 14 for our honeymoon and would 100% recommend it and would love to return. We stayed in Room 501 for our first night which was the junior suite as a treat to ourselves. It was incredible and included a balcony, steam room/shower and a jacuzzi. After this we moved to room 504 and weren't disappointed.... More

Hotel Dharma is about 3 blocks from the Rome train station. A clean hotel for a great price. An interesting and efficient use of space in a modern setting, one wall of my room had a mural of The Spanish Steps that opened to a large floor length mirror on the opposite side which doubled as an entry to a... Hotel is modern and unique. Although the rooms are small, they are efficiently set up with upscale amenities. Staff were excellent in helping us navigate the city and restaurants. Room was a bit stuff at first (No AC in November) but we were able to open window and this helped a bit. Really good location for getting to train station... More

We stayed at Hotel Dharma in October, 2014 based most only TripAdvisor reviews. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We with pleased with our choice to upgrade to a suite, which had a nice balcony, a wet steam room and a hot tub. We were within walking distance to shopping and quite a few quaint cafes. We would definitely... More

Hotel Dharma was a great find. The rooms are modern and clean, and overall good value for money. We had a suite - which I would strongly recommend - with a beautiful little balcony! Well worth the extra money as the room was better lit and more spacious than the standard we stayed in the first night. The staff at... More

My partner and I stayed in the Dharma for 6 nights this November. It is obvious that the people behind the Dharma hotel put in a lot of effort in designing this newish hotel, however, many elements just don't work and make the experience as a whole mediocre at best. At first we were put in a pretty tiny room... More

My husband and I stayed here from Oct.13,2014 thru Oct. 17,2014. We had been planning our trip for the past year and had contacted the hotel staff on multiple occasions prior to arrival. They were always gracious and helpful. When we finally arrived, everything was exactly as stated and the room was exactly as its online photo. Lorenzo and Daniela... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
