I have stayed many times at this most central of hotels. The location is fabulous.
You need to remember though that most Rome hotels have small rooms, particularly if like this one they date back to the 15th century. But here the single rooms are really tiny, and unless you get one on the 4th floor the views are boring!
It's not cheap but it's very clean, well appointed, with small bathrooms, flat screen TV, with in-house, but expensive, movies (10 euros). Good buffet breakfast, though a little parma ham might be nice! Really great helpful staff. Limited room service, but always obliging!
Drawbacks? Very few and picky. The pieces of soap in the bathroom are miniscule, taxis /drivers never seem able to find it, (tell them to drop you at Piazza Navona and walk the last few minutes). Get the dog in the neighbouring premises to move to Milan!!
The best feature; the owner and staff!!
