Business trip in mid-april. Stayed three nights. Whilst convenient for office, this hotel is on a major road, with heavy traffic, especially rush hour. Also on a route for local hospital, so late night sirens and helicopters - not a quiet night's sleep and also difficult to get a taxi either to or from central Rome. Unlike other similar hotels... Okay, full disclosure: I did not stay at this hotel. HOWEVER, after a Mumford & Sons concert in March at the the Atlantico (right across the street from the Shangri La), we had trouble finding a taxi to take us back into Rome. We entered this hotel to ask them to phone a taxi, and they said NO (RUDE), and... More

The Shangri La Corsetti in the EUR district of Rome is a comfortable enough, somehow old-fashioned hotel. Although the low sprawling hotel is well maintained, its quiet lobby, large rooms with balconies, and Japanese style garden, complete with a gold fish pond, somehow have the melancholy feeling of an off-season resort hotel. There's even a swimming pool, although it's only... More

I have stayed at this hotel twice now, on both occasions I felt it is very tired looking. The food at the restaurant the first time was good. On my second visit the shower head did not fit into the holder for an overhead shower, a make shift holder had been put in, but this would only wash your hair... More

Definitely an hotel that's been hyped-up for too long, without any substantial value behind it. The rooms were ancient, for the lack of a better term: clean, surely, but missing every confort a modern hotel should have, starting from not being insulated (meaning you could hear ANYTHING going on everywhere in the hotel), to not having a switch for the... This hotel is average, the decoration is antiquated but the rooms are clean and confortable. The hotel is not in the city center and is a little far from metro station, you need to get a bus about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

I've being staying at this hotel for over 10 years, and the reason I keep returning is that it's reasonably priced and has attached to it one of the finest seafood restuarants in all of Rome. The rooms are pretty basic and dated though i have to say it's always clean and the staff are very helpful. It get's busy... More

If you are coming to Rome and think this is the shangi la of asian fame...think again! it is not!! it is a basic hotel near a motorway, with a decent pizzeria/restaurant next door...but overall, the hotel is stuck in a 70's time warp. Service at the front desk is slow and inefficient...there seem to be employees everywhere but none... More

This hotel has an aged and tired decor, but the location for those needing the GRA or the Colombo is fantastic. The location is also within walking distance of the EUROMA 2 (the largest mall in Lazio). Our room was a typical European room (FIRM mattress, flat pillows, and sparse surroundings). All of this would be fine except that the... More
