We had stayed at this hotel in 2013 and loved it. We decided not to shop around when looking for a hotel this time we were in Rome, and just booked the Alpi, despite the expensive price. The mattress was so bad, with springs sticking out, we had to take the extra blankets out of the closet and put them... More

Just back from a truly special trip to Rome with friends that had been many years in the making. Hotel Alpi provided a great base, being around 5 minutes walk from Termini Station and within easy walking of all the main sights (Rome is a very walkable city). The staff were very courteous and very very helpful. Rooms were good,... More

We checked in to the hotel after we arrived in Rome to a hotel that was truly disgusting. What a nice treat to come to the Hotel Alpi. The rooms are comfortable and nice. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful with attentive staff. All the hotel staff was accommodating and spoke English. Located just a block away from Termini but you'd... More

The breakfast was poor, sometimes empty trays were left unfilled, the cheese and meat was dry at edges, the sweets were really bad (not made in house, and cheap buy). Beside breakfast, the hotel was great, nice and clean room, great accommodation!

My fiancé and I stayed here in January - late reviewing. However, we had a lovely time! When walking through to reception the staff were very nice and welcoming, taking our luggage up to the room for us. The hotel is very clean, the room was lovely and the bathroom was awesome with a massive shower! We had a balcony... More

Just returned from a 4 nights visits with my wife and my 6mo old baby. The room was clean and big enough and we even got a balcony to the inner court yard. Staff is super nice, it actually feels like home when you go down to breakfast or need anything from the reception. What could be better: - The... More

The rooms was nicely an consistent furnished and decorated. The family room we had was very nice with amble space for the four of us. [Only, minor thing was that our window was in a light well] The roof terrace was a nice little oasis with calm, quietness and a through-and-through service minded waiter/piccolo The breakfast buffet was nice. [But... More

The room and hotel are exactly as pictured. Nice and CLEAN. Staff was very helpful. Location is very convenient to train station and metro. There is a great little family restaurant right outside the hotel. Also, they bring your luggage up for you to your room. If you get in early and your room is ready then they have no... More

Good hotel if you only stay for a few days. Friendly staf.... The time we spend in Rome was real hot....Alpi have non swimmingpool and no outdoor jacuzzi, but SOME rooms have jacuzzi! There are a terasse and space to place a jacuzzi ....then Alpi had been spot on!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
