The hotel is located on the other side of termini station, not very pleasant to walk at night, as there is a park were a lot of homeless persons hang around, so its a bit Scarry, but as far as the hotel is concerned its a nice clean good hotel with good service. I wouldn't rate the hotel down but I... More

A bit of a late review! My friend and I stayed for 4 nights in Hotel Alpi and we were both very impressed. I cannot praise the reception staff highly enough!!! They were extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room was on the smaller side but we really didn't spend much time in it, so this was not an issue for... More

Hotel was central : easy access to sightseeing buses and train station. Poor selection of restaurants in the area . Room was lovely. I would have liked more info from the hotel on places to eat as they didn't do lunch or dinner. I travelled with my 3 daughters and we booked a chauffeur service from airport to hotel and... More

We stayed 4 nights in July. Went for Rock in Roma- Muse concert so wanted to be close to main train station & easy access to metro/ good eateries, with free wifi- and a decent breakfast. Having scoured previous reviews I selected this hotel having stayed in others in Rome previously. This nice hotel delivered on all counts. The 3rd floor... More

The hotel was clean. Wireless was good. Very close to Termini. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Especially cleaning personnel was very kind and helpful. The only problem was our room. The hidden room. You need to use one more elevator to reach your room. It was claustrophobic. Please refuse to stay these rooms.

This is a lovely boutique hotel very close the the Termini railway station. The room we have is a family room with a settee converted to a comfortable double bed for our daughter. Double flat screen TVs, a decent sized and stylish bathroom with bath and shower (wet room) working air-conditioning (an absolute 'must have' in Rome during August -... More

We recently stayed in a family room. Although I requested a room near the ground floor, away from the lift, we were put on the third floor. This may have been due to the fact that the type of room we needed was only available on this level - not sure. As it was the middle of summer, the room... More

I would probably rate this as 4.5 if there was that option, as our stay was very good but a couple of small things stopped it being perfect. Location is brilliant for the Terminii train station but not as central for the main sites, though the metro is only 2 mins walk as are buses. We arrived early in the... More

This hotel greatly enhanced our stay in Rome. Cold air conditioning, comfortable bed, big shower, wonderful service, and the best hotel breakfast we had on our European travels. Also a quick walk to the Termini station for the train and the subway.

The hotel is well located near the Rome Termini. It was a pleasant walk to some of the main attractions in Rome. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are reasonable size and the free wifi is a nice add on. The breakfast was good with a nice variety, although the dining room was slightly cramped, but this... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
