Accommodating staff, great location (5-10 min walk from termini) near Conad grocery store, clean rooms, satisfactory breakfast. Wifi was not good, some rooms have narrow hallways and small showers, and the tables are tiny. Other than that, as this is one of the cheaper hotels i found online, i would say the value is quite okay. We were even given take... More

Hotel was perfect and the staff great. Very nice and quiet room with king size comfortable bed. Breakfast had a very nice variety and the staff was really helpful. If something could improve would be the room service that lacked some variety which is not something really important to keep me from visiting Hotel Alpi again of course. 8.5/10 would... More

I travel extensively and frequently throughout Europe and have stayed in numerous hotels in the major EU cities. Honestly, I don't get how this hotel receives the rating it does. Our experience was suboptimal (to put it mildly). They gave us a room so small (about 10sq. m) we could hardly move inside. The bathroom face towels were the same... More

Having convinced myself to pick a good hotel near the Rome Central train station. I chanced upon Alpi hotel with the reviews it has been getting from traveleers. I decided to forego the usual practice of booking in various chain hotel and reserved a room not knowing what to expect. After first getting lost thru the myriad of side streets... More

The Alpi hotel was great for how much it cost. Very close to the train station, friendly staff, extremely comfortable rooms and surrounded by really nice restaurants. However, the breakfast wasn't up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel, also the construction going on inside could be quite loud sometimes. Other than that a nice stay.

Spent four nights at the Alpi whilst in Rome for work. Walking distance from Termini station. An excellent room (superior) provided adequate space for a couple who like to spread out. From the moment we walked in we received a warm welcome from every staff member - reception, housekeeping, bar, restaurant. They really couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.... More

Stayed at Hotel Alpi last summer for a 3-night stay. Hotel Alpi is centrally located a few meters away from Termini train station in a small historical building. Deluxe room was large, with a comfortable bed and a large terrace. Bathroom was also very large and modern but with only a bath, and it was a bit difficult to take... More

It seemed as though they were surprised by our arrival, but they decided that they could upgrade our room if we allowed them access to the room for some repairs. I gladly took the balcony room, and I enjoyed the short walks from and to the hotel. The location was not bad, the breakfast was homely and fresh

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
