We recently stayed in a family room. Although I requested a room near the ground floor, away from the lift, we were put on the third floor. This may have been due to the fact that the type of room we needed was only available on this level - not sure. As it was the middle of summer, the room... More

I would probably rate this as 4.5 if there was that option, as our stay was very good but a couple of small things stopped it being perfect. Location is brilliant for the Terminii train station but not as central for the main sites, though the metro is only 2 mins walk as are buses. We arrived early in the... More

This hotel greatly enhanced our stay in Rome. Cold air conditioning, comfortable bed, big shower, wonderful service, and the best hotel breakfast we had on our European travels. Also a quick walk to the Termini station for the train and the subway.

The hotel is well located near the Rome Termini. It was a pleasant walk to some of the main attractions in Rome. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are reasonable size and the free wifi is a nice add on. The breakfast was good with a nice variety, although the dining room was slightly cramped, but this... More

I stayed here after having booked another room at a nearby hotel that was not nice. It was the end of my two weeks in Italy and I wanted to stay near the train station in order to make it easier to get to the airport for my return flight. I got to the hotel and was immediately taken to... More

We absolutely loved our stay at the Alpi! The staff were incredibly helpful from day one of our booking. Helping us organize transfers from the airport. Our room was spotlessly clean and was kept this way during our 6 night stay. Breakfast was the best we were offered throughout our 5 week European trip and there was an endless supply... More

After arriving in Rome and booking into our previous hotel and then walking out again in disgust - we walked along the road and stumbled upon the Alpi Hotel - wow what s lovely place - modern - clean and very comfortable - breakfast set you up for the day and everything you could possibly want to eat from fruit... We found it very easy to walk everywhere taxis are quiet cheap only 30e to cia or 48e to the other airport. Bathroom was excellent with a Great shower :) rooms where spaceous enough. Only bad thing was the small lift and narrow... More

Good location close to the Termini. Hotel was very fresh with clean and nicely decorated rooms, even though they are somewhat small. The AC is really good, quiet and effective. Make sure to listen to the recommendations from the front desk regarding restaurants and tours. We stayed three nights and had great meals each evening. Breakfast is OK for a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
