My wife, sister-in-law, brother-in-law stayed in Hotel Alpi for three nights after returning to Rome from a cruise. It is a boutique hotel ideally situated for exploring Rome. It is about five minutes walk from the transport hub - main train and bus station, shuttle bus to airports and hop-on hop-off open top bus tour terminus. The hotel is beautiful,... More

In Rome first class hotels are very expensive if you choose trendy names and in the center. Hotel Alpi is a very nice and friendly hotel, very well cared and with friendly staff. This hotel is 5m walk apart from central Rome station (Termini), wher you can find major train station in the city, terminal bus and metro. From here... More

Staff were brilliant and gave great recommendations for restaurants. They also helped to book trips and taxis which made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Hotel was very clean and breakfast lovely. We cannot fault this Hotel in any way. We will certainly visit around Rome again and stay at this wonderful Hotel. Thank you Ann and Craig Duncan

Wonderful hotel, close to transportation in a quiet safe neighborhood. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. They have a great breakfast with lots of variety. The hotel is clean and modern with a wonderful charm. I would highly recommend a stay here!

It may have cost 200 Euros per night, but it was worth every cent of it. From the moment we walked through the door we entered a world of efficient and charming staff, running a very well-maintained hotel. Our room, on the 4th. floor, had a large South-facing balcony which overlooked a large square with trees and a cafeteria. This... More

This is the best hotel I've stayed in so far. From start to finish, the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Granted this is the first 4 star hotel I've stayed in, it's definitely deserving of the rating. Whenever we needed assistance, the staff were happy to help. Whether that be info about the laundry service to helping contact my pre-booked... More

As a group of 6 (3rooms) we stayed here for 8 nights. I would rate the hotel as a 4 star, however it deserved 5/5 for service, price, value & what we experienced overall. Upon arrival & checkin the staff swiftly greeted us and bags taken to rooms etc. We were told that any problems with the rooms to let them... More

Great location, right next to Termini station, with a really kind staff, spacious and confortable rooms (I'm already missing my 3 pillows bed and nice shower) and a breakfast with large options. For those afraid of the location, I assure you it is not noisy and there is always people in the streets until 9 pm.

So close to the Train Station Termini, with underground 5 min to center of Rome. Good Breakfast, international. No Sat TV but wi-fi free and good. i sugest " IL NAZZARENO " and " DA VINCENZO ", very goods place to eat, tipical local dishes, the first is low-medium cost and the second medium-high cost

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
