Stayed twice during our recent tour of Europe. Wonderful staff, especially Alessandro (speaks 8 languages) and Rosa. Quiet, cute, safe neighborhood - easy walk to Colosseum, Forum, and lots of other sites. Room spotless, great breakfast!! Very close to Metro/train station. more
Oh My god my girlfriend will be jelous of all this compliments. Thank you so much. I wish there was a place where hotel could write comments about their best guests. If we could we would really select our guests: real curious travellers, like you, that want to experience real life and not plastic one. Wait for you the next...
the crew is very friendly, due to the fact, that the rooms are small I only can give you 4 stars, but I'll be back anyway. more
And coming back the next time, please advice you wish a larger room (each room has a different shape) and we will be pleased to give you the largest possible room!
the location is great, we basically just walk throughout the 2 days and visited almost all major attractions. The rooms were a bit dodgy, extremely small.. I didn't feel very comfortable during my stay there somehow... I just didn't feel the bedding / room are clean etc.. our TV does't work, the reception @ night didn't bother fixing for us,... more

We stayed for 4 nights at The Grifo Hotel. We really like this place. The location is excellent for historial rome and good for the rest of the central area it is also close to Cavour Metro station. A few steps from the Colosseum, in the middle of too main shopping street of Rome, cool location!!! The room with the balcony is really nice, it makes you enjoy your staying in Rome (even though in a hotel room) like if you where a real citizen of Rome. more
We stayed at Hotel Grifo for 2 days before going on our cruise. Alessandro spoke very good English and that was a plus. The service was wonderful as the staff were so kind and friendly. Our room was on the top floor and we had a view which was great. Our room also had it's own shower and toilet which is always nice to have. It felt cozy as well, like the hotel. The location is wonderful. It was close to the places... more

We just returned from our first trip on a cruise through Europe. Rome was our first stop and we stayed here because it was affordable and Frommers also recommended the hotel. I was there 2 weeks ago with my friend and payed a lot of attention to feedbacks before chosing the hotel. It's true: rooms are small. but we had what we needed, as they are clean, the breakfast is honest and at the reception we were given the best suggestions to discover the real Rome. Bravo more
