Greaty located, on the Aventno hill, a very quiet and green place, at walking distance from all the touristic places. Staff is very kind. The rooms are simpy excepional; they are all different with a typical Italian style. Really charming! You will not foret it. I go regulalrly to this hotel when I am in Rome for work or on... More

Hotel san anselmo was a lovely hotel that oozed charisma and charm, the outside seating is surrounded by a beautiful garden that complements the great buffet breakfast 😁. Staff are really nice and polite with the exception of one, but otherwise a good hotel that is located about 20 minutes walk from all major attractions

Location is not on a main thoroughfare. Feels very residential, quiet. Front desk is so kind and makes a taxi appear for you " in 3 minutes". The little bar is sweet and the lobby is really a welcoming living room. Breakfast was the BEST we had on our 3 week trip! The outdoor areas give you great options for... More

My experience was absolutely positive. I have been there for a business trip, stayed for 4 nights. I booked directly from the hotel website and the price was excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast. Rooms were cleaned twice a day and in the evening they leave you a weather forecast for the next... More

The San Anselmo was a brilliant hotel! On arrival we were greeted with a refreshing tasty fruit juice! We were then shown to our room by the man who had given us drinks on arrival, he carried our bags and was very helpful! Our room was beautiful and spacious and like nothing I had ever seen before! We asked the... More

Everything was perfect at this small, hidden gem, Hotel Saint Anselmo. Only "negative" was the weather, it rained and was quiet cold +7;-( Maybe the situation is little a bit outside the centre (Ripa-hill). Totally all previous rewiews are good tips about this Hotel. And we would thanks all the staff (ex. porter) memorable marathon-weekend we visited this lovely hotel.... More

This hotel is a gem, situated in a rather quiet and elegant area of Rome. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Our room which was across the garden from the main building was spacious and the bathroom down some steps was as big as the room itself, almost completely covered in mosaic tiles, a very impressive effect. The courtyard... More

My partner took me to Rome for my birthday and it was one of the best breaks I've had. From the moment we got to the hotel we were welcomed and treated so well. If you are traveling to Rome and want a stunning hotel in a residential area that is also an easy walk or subway ride to anywhere in the city, Hotel San Anselmo is worth a look!! Situated in a tree lined Roman neighborhood, staying here makes you feel as though you are a native. Lovely!

This hotel was fantastic, it is located on a small piazza on hill which overlooks the city center, it is very romantic, our room was positioned at the front of the hotel with a nice balcony to sit on in the evening, which we took full advantage of due to the unseasonably warm weather. The breakfast was included in the... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
