We stayed here for a 3 day excursion and it was fairly comfortable. The hotel is about a five minute walk from Policlinico station so it's a great location for visiting all the main sights. There is also a lovely park and museum behind the hotel worth seeing. The hotel itself was small and practical. Our room seemed to be... More

Staff on the front desk were slow and unhelpful. Work was being carried out in the hotel and noise started before 8 am right next to the rooms. The room was OK although not very well cared for. There was a lounge area next to the lobby and an outdoor area which seemed quite pleasant. Breakfast not bad except for... More

Enjoyed roaming round the city and returning to this hotel after. A cosy hotel with nice public 'porch' for use; serves decent breakfast. Not to be confused with Villa Torlonia via Normentana - we got a little lost while trying to use google map which kept on leading us to this place.

We stayed at the hotel when visiting to watch the Italy/ England Rugby match, the staff were really helpful and great compact rooms in the main half of the hotel. Nice buffet breakfast and courtyard to use. It has a small bar and communal lounge that was well used. It wad slightly out of the city but a easy 5min... More

Took some finding from the Terminii Station but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Pleasant staff on reception, creaky lift took us to the 3rd floor with a window overlooking Via Eustachio Bartolomeo. Room was very clean as was the bathroom but the shower drained very slowly meaning you had to watch the water level. Breakfast catered for all tastes... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in June/July 2013. This hotel is maximum 5 minutes walking distance to the nearest metro (Pollicino - not sure on the spelling), which allows you to get to any major tourist destination in the city. The buffet breakfast was great before a day out. It consisted of traditional scrambled egg, toast etc...... More

I stayed here with my mum over Christmas in 2012. I didn't write a review at the time, but having just returned from Rome for a second time, and on this recent occasion staying at the more expensive Hotel Residenza Luxury, I felt compelled to write to say how much I wish I had returned to Villa Torlonia instead. It... More

We walked here from Terminii, about 30 mins with a map. Pleased to find the tram station literally on the doorstep, Policlinic metro station 5 mins walk (but you could be lazy and get the tram for one stop...). 17.5 euros for 3 day pass for bus/tram/metro. 5 mins from supermarket. Good pizzas/food opposite metro station/supermarket. If you don't like... More

The location, staff, rooms, and indoor & outdoor shared areas (bar, breakfast, lounge) are wonderful. Quiet area perfect for me traveling solo. The Hotel Villa is just outside the city gates in a tree lined, very safe area near metro and bus stations. Close to grocery stores and wine shop - and school of architecture bookstore - amazing selection. This... More
