This apartment is fantastic apart from the view out the window (a brick wall) BUT a I never plan to spend time in the hotel room when taking short breaks it didn't bother us at all because the location was next to none, so quaint & traditional. Lovely street markets during the evening & lovely restaurants literally on your doorstep!!... More

My son and I stayed in this serviced apartment for three nights. On entering the property the initial impression was disappointing as the accommodation itself was spartan: one single bed and one double bed in adjoining rooms with basic furniture and a small fridge which was, however, thoughtfully stocked with some water and soft drinks. Still, the air conditioning worked... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. They seem recently renovated and were very clean and lovely. Easy check in and out. The location is great with a bus from airport stopping 1 street away and lots of restaurants and bars near by.

If I were to rate this place based on location alone I would give it 5 stars. It is in Trastevere which is full of great restaurants, bars and night life. I loved the bohemian feel of this part of Rome. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Vatican and Colosseum. The views from the river are stunning.... More

This guest house is perfectly located in Trastevere, an area bustling at night. If you want to enjoy Roman night life and not worry on how to get back to your hotel, this is a great place. It is also really pretty by day and full of history. Our room was perfect for our needs: modern, clean, comfy, functional, and... More

Situated in a really beautiful authentic part of Rome. A little outside the center but definitely worth branching out. Still only a ten minute walk to be in the city proper. It is located among lovely Roman cobbled roads with great restaurants lining the narrow roads. There is a nice balcony which is very nice in the evening - with... More

Positives first: location, location and location. Located on a delightful square in Trastevere. There's a nice restaurant directly opposite and a good wine bar downstairs. As for the hotel itself, it's not good enough. Having gone to the trouble of texting to inform them when I was arriving, I ended up standing outside with my bags for about 25 minutes.... More

On the arrival, no one was there to open the door. We called them on the phone and nobody answered. We had to wait on the street until someone finally came. We asked for a two-bed bedroom and we got a double bed. On the day we checked out we left the suitcases in a storage room. When we returned... More

+ Perfect location, nice rooms, useful kitchenette and a wonderful roof terrace. - We only got the room cleaned one time when we stayed six nights. Its good to know that the terrace is actually a bar in the eavning, so its not possible to take your own food and drinks and have a dinner on the roof.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
