Situated in a really beautiful authentic part of Rome. A little outside the center but definitely worth branching out. Still only a ten minute walk to be in the city proper. It is located among lovely Roman cobbled roads with great restaurants lining the narrow roads. There is a nice balcony which is very nice in the evening - with... More

Positives first: location, location and location. Located on a delightful square in Trastevere. There's a nice restaurant directly opposite and a good wine bar downstairs. As for the hotel itself, it's not good enough. Having gone to the trouble of texting to inform them when I was arriving, I ended up standing outside with my bags for about 25 minutes.... More

On the arrival, no one was there to open the door. We called them on the phone and nobody answered. We had to wait on the street until someone finally came. We asked for a two-bed bedroom and we got a double bed. On the day we checked out we left the suitcases in a storage room. When we returned... More

+ Perfect location, nice rooms, useful kitchenette and a wonderful roof terrace. - We only got the room cleaned one time when we stayed six nights. Its good to know that the terrace is actually a bar in the eavning, so its not possible to take your own food and drinks and have a dinner on the roof.

Uncomfortable beds, sleek minimalist design. The wifi was an issue as it dropped out in the rooms - wold have to go into the common area to pick it up and then stay near the door and adjust computer position to get webpages to load. The rooftop terrace is beautiful. The piazza below can be a bit noisy at night,... More

Location is good. Our room had a view of the piazza. Some people have mentioned it is noisy, but this is Rome and further more it is Trastevere. It aint noisy it is city life at it's best. Rome has lots of people, where better to soak up this city life...it is right under your window. We live in a... More

We booked these apartments as a party of ten visiting Rome for the Six Nations rugby, but I would to hesitate to recommend them to anyone regardless of the purpose of your stay. In the heart of the funky Trastavere district, our whole experience could really not be bettered. Even though we arrived late evening, our welcome was warm and... More

My husband and I stayed at this guesthouse in December for four nights (a birthday long weekend!) and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality accomodation in Rome. We were looking for something in the Trastevere area and stumbled across it on the internet, and were really thrilled with the service, location, and quality of the accomodation. Cristian... More

We stayed for 3 nights in this five-bedroom apartment with a shared kitchen. Our room had a high-spec en suite and what the room itself lacked in size it made up for in value for money and convenience. We were in the heart of the Trastevere neighbourhood, with plenty of good restaurants, coffee shops and bars nearby. We were also... More

Despite the overall review being average my fiancee and I were happy with this accommodation. It is basic and that is exactly what we needed. Our room overlooked the Piazza and most nights it can be noisy until around 1am although the window shutters did help somewhat. Families with small children it is worth mentioning here that the windows open... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
