This hotel is very handy for the major attractions (Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps are very close) and the main shopping street (Via del Corso). it's also very handy for the Metro (Spagna) which is next to the Spanish Steps. Although advertised as 4* we found that it was starting to look a little tired and our room had sevaral... More

The only good thing here was the location, itsvery central, a stone's throw from the spanish steps. Other than that i donot see how this is a 4 stars hotel! Itsv small, dated and dirty public places and rooms. The staff were horrible! Not one friendly person at the reception! They do not even look at you on your way... More

My wife booked this hotel because it had some pretty good reviews and pictures. We stayed here and expected a big room but was quite small and very clean. The baggage guy was very attentive, caring and very friendly. The receptionist was also. Breakfast was ok I guess since im accustomed to American style but it was served nice and... More

We found this stay to be disappointing. Room was very small air conditioning not functioning during a very hot spell. Beds uncomfortable, especially the extra bed, single pillow only. The only redeeming factor is the great location at the Spanish Steps.. We will now have to search for an alternative in Rome

Very clean hotel with great rooms. The concierge was so helpful! Good location that all the taxi drivers could find and very close to Spanish steps. If you want a family friendly hotel with excellent staff then this is the place for you.

Very nice location (near the transportation and the main monuments). The room was clean and large enough for two people (we really enjoyed the bathroom also). The hotel was calm even if we were at the first floor. The receptionnists were helpful and very professional. We also loved the restaurant of the hotel, the Vudabar ! Excellent food and service... Our first stay in Rome apart from day trips from a cruise ship and we could not have done better than choose the Homs Hotel. Within easy walking distance of the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain although at the time of our visit a large amount of maintenance work was in progress. A little bit further to walk you... If I hadn't have experienced it myself, I would not have believed this experience. Actually, I'm still not positive we were not on candid camera (for those of a certain age) or getting punked (for the young folks). I booked the hotel online and prepaid unfortunately. When we arrived at the hotel it looked a little dated but what we... More

We were six friends who stayed five days at the Hotel Homs, May 2014 (6 single Roma). Rooms and bathrooms were small but clean and functional. Staff was friendly and helpful, the food simple but tasty (we ate breakfast every morning + some lunches and dinner at the hotel one evening). The very best with this hotel is certainly its... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
