We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gerber. We were there over Easter, and it is a perfect location for visiting the Vatican. It is also just a quick block and some from the subway - a wonderful plus. We walked to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. It's an easy subway ride to the Ancient Rome area... More

Hotel Gerber was our "home" for five days on our first trip to Rome. The staff was great in helping us find our way around the city. The room and hotel facilities were excellent. Travelers who appreciate a cozy, home-like hotel (as opposed to a shiny, hi-tech accommodation) will surely like Hotel Gerber. The hotel is a few walkable blocks... More

This was a welcome, quiet hotel, not far from the Vatican. The staff allowed us to check in early, which is always a good sign of accommodation. Our room was a good size, the bed was large and comfortable. Friendly staff, good value, location and neighborhood. We would certainly return.

The Gerber is a very well run family owned hotel. Yes the rooms and bathrooms are quite small - but when in Rome who wants to be in a room? Bathroom was new and very clean, and the bed was large and comfortable. Best of all, the rooms were very quiet. Breakfast was totally adequate - not exciting - but... More

We had a comfortable stay at the Gerber Hotel. The room we were in on the first floor was a little small but functional. The staff was super friendly with the exception of the person serving us coffee. He appeared like he seemed bothered doing his job. Breakfast was adequate. Nice terrace in the back. There is also a sun... More

The location of Hotel Gerber makes it convenient for touring anywhere in Rome, especially the Vatican or the Borghese Gallery. And unless your room is on the ground floor by the restaurant, it is relatively quiet. What really stood out to me was the exceptional breakfast service. It was gracious and the food was excellent and abundant -- especially important... More

The image shown on booking.com looks quite basic so I came with low expectation. Turned out this is not true. My room - the cheapest type - is spacious and very well designed with a vintage style, even has a small balcony. The location couldn't be better: 2 minutes to metro/bus stations and 10 - 30 minutes walking to most... More

The Staff was excellent, Notably Peter. The Hotel was centrally located in Rome and 2 blocks from the Metro so access was excellent. we stayed on 2 separate times while in Rome for a total of 5 days. Good breakfast included with room

The four of us stayed in two rooms at this hotel for a week. It was a great place, a safe distance away from both Vatican and downtown Rome (about 15 minutes walk). The rooms are comfortable and are air conditioned. The only downside about this place was the shower. It is so tiny that you can literally only stand... More

A good hotel in quiet neighborhood two steps away from Lepanto metro station. The room for 3 persons was big enough, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was fine. The only negative parts were the small old elevator & the dusty terrace. Overall a good hotel with friendly staff.
