Overall this hotel offered an excellent experience during our 3 night stay in Rome. We arrived around 7pm and the receptionist checked us in very quickly and was delighted to inform us that they had given us room 24 which was a superior room with a balcony. The room was reasonably sized with a huge bed, sizeable bathroom with a... More

Charming and quintessential European hotel. The breakfast terrace was a cozy and sunny rooftop room which gave the feeling of having breakfast at Grandma's. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was VERY roomy and updated, but all feeling classic "Old World". The Hotel Farnese was a complement to the daily sightseeing of Rome, and left us feeling... More

Everything about this hotel is cute and cozy. Our room was cozy but we figured that space is definitely at a premium in the city so we wouldn't complain about that. (Did I mention the room was cute too). Great shower! I never figured out the wifi. Maybe there was a code I was supposed to use. It seemed like... More

The hotel Farnese Staff was very professional and friendly! Great location close to Metra and walking distance to the vatican and Panthion. I stayed in room number 16, nice size room and bathroom. Breakfast is served on the terrace.

Lovely clean hotel with very friendly staff. Great rooftop area where a substantial breakfast was served every morning which set us up for our sightseeing. Not a huge room but adequate for our 4 night stay. Good Metro link a few metres away and a 15 minute walk to St Peter's Square where we picked up the bus which took... More

The hotel was just what we needed. In busy Rome, it was a place we could come back from touring to relax. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is always delicious and fresh. The lady(sorry I don't know her name) greeted us each morning with fresh coffee. I loved the fact that the hotel was a block away... More

Stayed at the Farnese with a family of 4 in a junior suite. Was workable but definitely not huge by American standards. Staff was friendly and helpful; hotel is clean and well organized. They picked us up at the airport without any issue in a nice Mercedes. We liked the breakfast. As stated in other reviews, location is more a... More

We stayed at Hotel Farnese for 7 nights in the Junior Suite and found the hotel to be just what we were looking for. The hotel is situated on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood in the more central area of Rome. This is nice as we didn’t want to be directly in the touristy areas. That being said,... More

Our first stay was in 2003 then again in 2006. This third stay did not disappoint either! The location is great and quiet. Its a short walk to Piazza de Popolo and a block from the M. The property is very clean and classic Italian. The staff is wonderful too. Rooftop breakfast was great. Its a must stay in Rome... More

We are a family of four, used one room, no problem with a bunk and a double. Great help by the hotel staff to find good restaurants, arrange tours and they even provided FREE parking. Easy to get to by car, at least on a weekend.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
