We stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful place. Great location, walking distance to Vatican and Castel Sant Angelo. There is a subway station nearby if you prefer railway. The neighborhood was elegant and calm. Nice restaurants were available even later at night. Staff was super friendly. We didn't have to ask for anything because they were already provided. Especially... More

Stayed at the hotel Easter 2014 and it was very good. Small, cute rooms, very friendly staff and a walking distance to the shops. Also, close to the train station and a one stop away from the Vatican.

We had a great 3 night break at hotel farnase, situated about 15 mins walk from the Vatican to the north of the city. The hotel has lots of character with some really lovely rooms, the one we stayed in has a very high ceiling and decorated very nicely with a great looking bathroom, easily the nicest room I've stayed... I booked this hotel following Trip advisor reviews... And they were right. The hotel was great ... Classic decor... Rooms with high ceilings ... Wooden floors .. Waking distance from Vatican and Piazza del Popolo. Breakfast at the terrace was excellent...plenty of food and fresh squeezed orange juice, which I love. Everybody there was very attentive and go the extra... More

We stayed at the Hotel Farnese twice in the autumn of this year and loved our stays. The hotel is comfortable and luxurious with lovely rooms and spacious bathrooms. The lobby is charming and the bar is small, comfortable and intimate. You can store a bottle of wine at the bar and have a glass at your leisure. The staff... More

From the moment we stepped into Hotel Farnese, we knew we chose the best hotel for us in Rome. It is in the Prati district and very close to the Vatican. Breakfast every morning was delicious and they even served American coffee if you wanted it. We enjoyed walking around town and this location was just a few steps from... More

Hotel Farnese is a beautiful small hotel in a quiet section of Rome. There is nothing the staff won't do for you. You are about 1 mile from the Spanish Steps or the Vatican. Rome is a very easy city to get around in by foot and this hotel is close to some of the major sites . The bedroom/bathroom... More

The exterior and entry are very handsome; one gets the sense of entering a 19th century urban mansion. The rooms, however, also feel like a 19th century urban mansion, brought haphazardly into the 20th century: * A noisy air-conditioning unit for the room above, that could not be silenced or otherwise affected from my room. * A bathroom with a... Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
