I recently booked a stay at this hotel while traveling to Rome for work. There were flight delays and I needed to settle some things in the office before checking in. I arrived after 10 PM, and the front desk greeted me with a smile and had everything ready so I could just go up to my room. Perhaps needless... More

Hotel Farnese is ideally situated away from the bustle of the iLTridente. It is situated just across the Tiber within easy walking distance of Piazza del Popolo. On Viale Giulio Cesare, right across the street from a subway station. Also easy walking distance to the Vatican. Via Cola de Rienzo is close by with bars, trattorias, ristorantes and necessary shopping.... More

Location across the Tiber River was a respite from the big city life in a well renovated old palazzo, quiet and comfortable. Delightful breakfast "Italian Style" served daily on the upper garden level. Front desk service concierges were hospitable and highly service oriented. Alessandra, especially, provided excellent recommendations for local food at Trattoria Aquila d'Oro, assisted in Circle Tour Bus... More

beautiful hotel! very cozy and clean, the staff was very nice with a big smile all the time :) the hotel is located in a good spot. the only problem we had was the stairs to get in and out from the hotel - we came with a baby so we had to lift the baby carriage every time. it's... More

We would like to thank the owner & all the staff at the Hotel Farnese in Rome for all their help sorting out a room for us when let down by our booked hotel (Luxury on the River) over booked at the last minute. Not only did they accommodate up with a lovely Junior Suite they also gave us a... More

We visited Italy last September 2014 so we are a little late writing this review. Hotel Farnese was in a perfect location within walking distance to most sights. Breakfast was amazing on the rooftop and we had a room with a terrace that was so relaxing after seeing the sights all day. The hotel staff was very helpful in recommending... More

This was our second visit to Hotel Farnese and we found it to be as lovely as last time (Dec 2006). The owners were around each morning and the staff team they have built is exemplary. There is attention to detail throughout this hotel and in the friendly service that it offers. Everyone speaks excellent English, but they were also... More

The Farnese is a small and elegant boutique hotel conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood on the west bank of the Tiber river. Since it is only about 100 meters or so from the Lapanto station of the Metro-A line and the terminal of the #87 bus line, all of the famous places in Rome are easily (and inexpensively) accessible... I stayed in this hotel earlier this year. We were in a basement room which was relatively small but well kept and very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served every morning up on the roof terrace (which is actually enclosed!) and was very tasty, offering limited hot food together with a continental style breakfast.... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
