I am from Cleveland, Ohio. Traveled to Rome to see the Vatican on our way to cruise the Med. for a week. This hotel is very clean and staff was very nice. You get a breakfast with your stay which had a large variety of food to choose from. Small cocktail bar in the facility. We enjoyed it very much.... More

Just got back from a mini break to Rome and stayed at the Hotel Alimandi. Its situated just over the road from the Vatican Museum. We flew with Ryanair from Stansted and once again was surprised at how easy and good this was. We booked the private transfer provided by the hotel for 50 euros. This was quite welcome and... More

This hotel is a great value for Rome - the staff was very friendly, especially Francesco, and the rooftop terrace with breakfast buffet is fantastic. Two drawbacks: (1) the hotel is near the Vatican but not much else (although it is a 4-5 block walk to the metro which will get you anywhere), and (2) not all rooms are created... More

For our first time in Rome, we couldn't have pick a better hotel. No matter what information or accomodation we requested, it was provided expediently with nothing but a friendly smile ready for the next request.. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Nico was especially helpful and very accomodating. He went above and beyond... More

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is directly across from the Vatican Museum. I was worried when we were walking to our rooms because the decor had not been updated in a while, however when we arrived at our room I was pleasantly surprised. Do not expect fancy, this hotel is very simple, however it did have the... More

What a great hotel. The front desk was so helpful. The hotel is literally in front of the Vatican. Just cross the street and the entrance to the Sistene chapel is right there. It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the entrance to get to St. Peter's square. There is a bus stop just around the corner. There is... More

We stayed here on our first trip to Rome and we will be going back again....and again. The staff was helpful and shuttle to and from the airport was great. But the highlight of the stay I must say was definitely Francesco their chef. Every morning we were greeted with a huge smile, delicious hot breakfast and pastries. Next time... More

We stayed at Hotel Alimandi for about a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is just a stone's throw (up some stairs) to the Vatican Museum. Getting in to The Vatican itself (like to St. Peter's Square), is a good 5 blocks awau or so along the walls of the Vatican....not really a chore. Following Rick Steve's recommendation, we took...
