Booked because of good reviews on T.A, Agree great location, nicely refurbished rooms although small, on arrival we were offered an upgrade to a balcony room at a cost of 60 euros but standard room was fine On arrival staff at reception were very helpful, all good so far We went for breakfast next morning at around 7.45 (on the... I agree its a great location but having stayed away from the steps at first leg of our trip staying near the steps though lovely comes with a price. I payed 6 euro for a small bottle of coke, 10 euro for a gelati and a drink so I guess what im saying if you not prepared to spend a... More

This hotel is in an amazing location - very central and we loved being able to walk down the Spanish Steps in the morning before the crowds appeared. Our room was quite small, but it was clean, comfortable and had great air conditioning. The owner and staff are very friendly and we were grateful that we were able to check-in... More

It isn't as big and "grand" as the chain hotels but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and friendliness. The rooms are not overly large but the bed is comfortable and above all the room is COOL with tiled floors and air-conditioning (essential in a city that is still 20C at midnight!). The roof terrace... More

The location is phenomenal - close to EVERYTHING. You literally step out of the front door of the hotel and you're greeted with a beautiful view over the top of the Spanish Steps. The rooftop terrace was wonderful, too - lots of plants with a beautiful view of Rome. The lobby is practically nonexistent (which was a bit disappointing) and... More

This hotel is small and older, but is clean and beautifully appointed. There is plenty of food at the breakfast buffet, there is a sweet terrace on which to eat or just relax, and the people are friendly and helpful. I loved the location. At night we went out to the plaza and took pictures of the moon rise over... More

We stayed at Hotel Di Spagna in June 2014. It is a very nice, quiet harbor in a busy city. It is well appointed and comfortable. The people at the reception desk were wonderfully helpful and often went above and beyond to assist us. The breakfast was very complete and provided us with a nice start to the day. It... More

This hotel is very sweet and small, but the perfect location. The staff always wants to help out and are willing to bring you anything you need. Breakfast was good, not great but perfect for early mornings in Rome. I would recommend this place.

We stayed at the Hotel Scalinata Di Spanga, for three nights last week and really enjoyed our stay. The location was good, close to the top of the Spanish Steps, and very handy for the metro. The breakfast was good eaten on the terrace, which was open for coffee all day. We had a good room on the same floor... More

We stayed at Hotel Scalinata Di Spanga for 4 nights recently and were just delighted with the experience. The hotel staff was first rate, both efficient, helpful and friendly. They gave us recommendations, knew the guide we hired (by coincidence), and made us feel like family. The room was on the small side, but pretty and comfortable. The breakfast was... More
