This is the perfect boutique hotel for anyone who wants a nice room, friendly staff and the perfect location. And in addition to that, they provide a very generous breakfast on a rooftop terrace! I will definitely return here the next time I'm in Rome!! :)

What a fantastic hotel right at the top f the steps. My wife and I got the spend a few days staying at this otel while visiting Rome and would certainly stay here again without hesitation. The room was just what we wanted from a Roman get away and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. I had actually made... More

Arrived at the the hotel at approx. 3pm and they said they did not have a room available. They gave us an excuse that a certain guess could not leave and they would not have a vacant room for us...who knows what the real reason was. They told us that they would relocate us at a hotel 30 meters away... More

I booked this hotel for my first night in Rome for my Honeymoon. We had never been to Italy before, so location was very important to us. This was perfect! Sitting right on top of the Spanish Steps, it was so easy to find our way back. Fabio and Mario were very pleasant and helpful during our stay

As a solo traveller I was anxious to find a hotel where there would be good security . I selected Scalinata Di Spagna as it sits across from the Hassler & in a very safe Piazza . Fabio greeted me like a long lost friend & from then on Mario took special care of me . Always willing to get... More

This family run hotel at the top of the Spanish steps was the perfect place from which to explore Rome. It is a small hotel with 16 rooms that serve a great breakfast. The brothers that own and manage it were extremely friendly and helpful in all respects.

Hotel is perfectly located at the top if the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna). A small, charming property that felt authentically Roman! Very tiny room, but clean and all necessary amenities available. Close to metro. Rooftop terrace where breakfast is served was gorgeous- a perfect way to start the day! Quiet location. I would suggest requesting a room not located... More

This is a cute hotel in a great location, right at the top of the Spanish steps. Of course, a lot of what you may want to do may be at the bottom, and there ARE a lot of steps. This hotel does not offer any large common areas so it is not ideal for spending time hanging out at... More

At least a 4 1/2 star family run hotel. We were greeted warmly by a member of the family, who explained ,everything in the frigidare was complimentary- We were upgraded, room was immaculate and well appointed. Breakfast, which was served in a beautiful rooftop garden with a magnificent view of Rome, was great. The area was very convenient to many restaurants.... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
