The Hotel is in a great location and in the old section of Rome. Narrow streets, light traffic, and a lot of good restaurants close by. The room and bathroom were very comfortable, not spacious but quite adequate. Staff was very friendly and very helpful!

As like the previous reviews I found this hotel to be in an excellent location! It's right in the middle of all the sights which are all in easy walking distance. On our arrival the staff we're very friendly and helpful, giving us a map and guiding us on some of the best routes. The hotel we had was near... More

You can read several reviews and these are accurate: great location get a room away from the street, or up higher if you do not like your room, ask for a change desk staff will help with restaurant suggestions desk staff will "take on" taxi drivers who try to fleece you desk staff will arrange "private cars" for airport transfer... We chose the Smeraldo Hotel in Rome based on Rick Steves and good reviews on tripadvisor, and we were so happy we did. The location is outstanding; walking distance to all the main attractions; the rooms were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The staff was so helpful, starting with the car service they arranged to pick us... More

We have just returned today from a 5 day break in Rome. I looked on Trip advisor last year and decided to book the Smeraldo on their recommendations. I cannot fault the hotel at all. It was brilliant , the location is fantastic for being minutes away from all major attractions . The staff were 1st class this includes reception,... More

We chose this hotel for the location and got exactly what we wanted. It is in the heart of Campo D' Fiori and steps away from restaurants and shops. The Vatican and Coliseum are short taxi rides away; the Pantheon is a pleasant walk. The room was clean and nicely decorated and most importantly, quiet, considering the location. It is... More

Quaint, interesting room. Shower unreliable temperature frequently. Nice roof area - byo tho as 'bar ' didn't sell anything at all. No real lounge area . breakfast room ok. No hot food but good salad and fruit selection and the ever popular pastries.brilliant deli on doorstep.

The people working here are absolutely wonderful. The rooms are clean, and well maintained. The location is perfect. The hotel is located in walking distance to all major sights. The staff members at this hotel are fluent in English as well as Italian.

My boyfriend and I had a weekend in Rome and spent two nights here. We chose it for its central location and weren't disappointed you can walk to pretty much all major landmarks within 30mins and there is a cab rank not far from the hotel if you're not up for walking. The room itself was relatively quiet and the... More

Visited Rome for the first time, spent 4 nights total here, two on our own, and two with our tour. We stayed on the first floor of the Dependence building. First impression " wow this is small, we were told hotel rooms are small in Europe" Of the six hotels we stayed in this was the smallest with the smallest... More

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
