We were very pleased with our selection of this hotel. The location was great, away from the bustle of the city, two short blocks from the tram stop on a narrow cobbled street. There was a great selection of restaurants close by and pleasant walks around the neighborhood. The management and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.... More

We stayed at this hotel upon the conclusion of our Via Francigena walk from Viterbo to Rome. The room was actually in the building next door, which also (apparently) houses some apartments. The room was clean, decent size, and had only a shower - no bathtub. The hotel management - both Marco and Michelangelo - were pleasant and helpful. Several... More

Would highly suggest staying at Hotel Trastevere. The staff was extremely helpful. Michelangelo helped us get train tickets, called taxis for us that showed up instantly, and much more. Additionally, the staff was very kind each morning and always made us delicious cappuccinos. Overall, the hotel was cozy and the rooms were kept very clean. Great location- close to many... More

This hotel is in a really good location , very close to lots of restaurants . The staff in the hotel were very helpful and couldn't do enough to help with directions and how to get about. The room was very clean and quiet and bed was comfortable. This is not a fancy hotel but adequate and in a great... More

The hotel is in such a friendly area and the staff contiue this feeling. They genuinely care about your concerns/problems and are willing to help in any way. There are many delicious and greatly priced restaurants very close by and there is excellent night life. The rooms were nice and the service was great. I hope to come back again... More

This hotel is located in great location. It is a tram or bus ride away from the Centre of Rome or about a 30 minute walk from the Roman Centre. I visited this hotel with two friends for a week long vacation to take in the sights of Rome. We were assisted greatly by Michael Angelo. Yes, it is his... More

As a 3 star hotel I recommend this hotel highly. It is everything you want, very clean, very friendly staff, great breakfast, great location and reasonably priced. The big attraction is the location near all the alleyways of Trastevere full of great bars and restaurants. I will definetely stay again

The Trastevere area (look it up on Wiki) is a wonderful location for Tourism in Rome; partly pedestrianised, it has excellent facilities and all major tourist sites in Rome city centre are within 45 minutes or so walk. The hotel staff are very helpful: we had a largish family room for four (includes two pull-down bunk beds) with air conditioning... More

Slept here for 2 nights and loved it! Staff was very accommodating and the breakfast croissants were delicious. Very cute and simple hotel (don't expect fancy bedsheets and butlers). The wifi was fast which was a huge bonus since there aren't many places with free wifi in Rome.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
