As a 3 star hotel I recommend this hotel highly. It is everything you want, very clean, very friendly staff, great breakfast, great location and reasonably priced. The big attraction is the location near all the alleyways of Trastevere full of great bars and restaurants. I will definetely stay again

The Trastevere area (look it up on Wiki) is a wonderful location for Tourism in Rome; partly pedestrianised, it has excellent facilities and all major tourist sites in Rome city centre are within 45 minutes or so walk. The hotel staff are very helpful: we had a largish family room for four (includes two pull-down bunk beds) with air conditioning... More

Slept here for 2 nights and loved it! Staff was very accommodating and the breakfast croissants were delicious. Very cute and simple hotel (don't expect fancy bedsheets and butlers). The wifi was fast which was a huge bonus since there aren't many places with free wifi in Rome.

Delightful little hotel in the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome; our room was comfortable, quiet, clean with modern bathroom facilities. Walking distance to all sights in Rome including the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's basilica. Easy walk across the bridge to Campo di Fiori, Trevi Fountain, etc. Michelangelo was a great host; very helpful in providing orientation and other services. Easily... More

wonderful location in the middle of Trastevere with everything you need close by. Helpful and friendly staff who makes wonderful coffee in the morning. The room was spotlessly clean with good beds. We will stay here again on our next visit to Rome.

We stayed here in May 2008, and at that time, the room was stuffy and small, but clean and worthy of a stay on a budget because Trastevere is fabulous! Such a wonderful part of Rome. I call it the Brooklyn of Rome!

Seems like a decent budget hotel in an excellent location in Trastevere. It's more motel than hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. We stayed in a family room with a double bed and a fold out bunk bed. It was just the right size for a one night stay. It would be too small for a longer stay. We... More

Dear guest , thank you for your review I remember perfectly the problem and I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience. As you wrote , the staff promptly answered to fix the problem and for us the A.C. was working. It was probably a communication problem,on how to use the air conditioning, We will try to build on what is... More

This a simple and basic hotel but cannot be beat for location, value and gracious service. Rooms are spotlessly clean and well serviced. Breakfast is basic continental and coffee was excellent. Staff cannot do enough for you. We were a stones throw from great little restaurants, bars and wherever else the day took us. Located very close to tram so... More

This hotel is in the best location! The staff directed us to the #8 Tram that took us straight to the center of Rome -- a walk to all the hot spots. Our room was quite and comfy and the breakfast was quite good. Just ask for your type of coffee and munch on fresh rolls, cereal, one soft cheese... More

Stayed here for October weekend. First, this is a simple basic hotel- no frills in the rooms, lobby, no bar etc. the rooms are quote small, bathroom very small. But this is a good hotel. The no frills approach extends to the running of the hotel, it is simple, straightforward and it works. As others have said it is a... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
